PRIME Productions to Stage Regional Premiere of LITTLE WARS

PRIME Productions, a new professional theater company in the Twin Cities, seeks to explore, illuminate and support women over 50 and their stories through the creative voice of performance. Their first production launches with the regional premiere of Little Wars at Mixed Blood Theatre, May 5 - 21, 2017.

Broadening Theatrics to Present Non-Traditional A CHORUS LINE at TADA!

Broadening Theatrics, in association with Open Bar Theatricals (openbartheatricals.org), will present a unique production of A Chorus Line in which dancers have been cast regardless of race, gender, body type, age, or gender identity. Presented by arrangement with Tams-Witmark Music Library, Inc., this rare production, directed and choreographed by Rachel Broadwell, will run March 31st, April 1st, and April 2nd at 8pm at TADA! Theatre (15 W 28th St.).

Talking Band's THE ROOM SINGS to Open Next Week at La MaMa

A room in a country house sings of those who have lived there over a span of seventy years. Performed with striking theatricality by the OBIE-award winning Talking Band, The Room Sings, uses an array of genres to tell the stories of four interlocking sets of people. As their individual stories unfold they intertwine and illuminate each other.

The FSU/Asolo Conservatory for Actor Training Presents A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM

The FSU/Asolo Conservatory for Actor Training caps its 2016-17 season with William Shakespeare's whimsical classic A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM, performed outdoors on the stunning grounds of Marie Selby Botanical Gardens. Directed by Jonathan Epstein, the production previews on Tuesday, April 11 at 8pm with a special 'Pay What You Can Performance,' offering tickets at whatever price patrons can afford when purchased the day of the performance, at a minimum of $3 per seat. The show officially opens on Wednesday, April 12 at 8pm, and runs through Saturday, April 29. Performances will run Tuesday through Saturday.

Trinity Rep presents the Uproarious Comedy FAITHFUL CHEATERS

Two continents, two cultures, two estranged sisters, and two cousins determined to bridge the gap between them, are all boldly calligraphed in this free-wheeling work set in Los Angeles and Tokyo, past and present. East and West collide as Japanese free-spirit Sayuri and biracial American Hiromi care for their feuding mothers, whom they gamely hope to reunite before it is too late.Directed by TheatreWorks Associate Artistic Director Leslie Martinson, Calligraphy will be presented by TheatreWorks Silicon Valley March 8-April 2 at Lucie Stern Theatre, 1305 Middlefield Road, Palo Alto. Irish Rep to Stage World Premiere of Larry Kirwan's REBEL IN THE SOUL

Irish Repertory Theatre will present the world premiere of REBEL IN THE SOUL, a new play by Larry Kirwan (Liverpool Fantasy). Directed by Charlotte Moore (Finian's Rainbow), REBEL IN THE SOUL begins performances on April 12, 2017 at Irish Rep Theatre (132 West 22nd Street) in the W. Scott McLucas Studio Theatre and officially opens on April 18, running through May 24, 2017.
