New York City's Five Boroughs Music Festival (5BMF), GEMAS, and the MetLife Foundation Music of the Americas Concert Series co-present Cuban early music ensemble Ars Longa de la Habana in their 5BMF debut. Performing a free program highlighting African influences on the baroque music of the New World, Ars Longa will perform on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Ignatius of Antioch Episcopal Church.

Piffaro, Philadelphia's Renaissance Wind Band, has elected to forgo live concerts in the 20/21 season. However, executive director Shannon Cline sees a silver lining to presenting concerts online.

Cuba's premier early music group, Ars Longa de la Habana, appears in a special co-presentation by Five Boroughs Music Festival (5BMF), Gotham Early Music Scene/Americas Society (GEMAS), and Baryshnikov Arts Center on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at 7:30 p.m. at Baryshnikov Arts Center. The 12 musicians of Ars Longa perform Tesoros de América, a program of villancicos and dances from the 17th and 18th century colonial Americas. The concert is part of the group's third US tour.

Five Boroughs Music Festival (5BMF) and GEMAS (Gotham Early Music Scene / Americas Society) present Corónica, a collective of musicians from Canada, Colombia, Cuba, Argentina and the US, in An Empire of Silver and Gold on Monday, November 5, 2018 at 7:00pm at St. Ignatius of Antioch Episcopal Church.  

The San Francisco Early Music Society's 2018-19 concert season kicks off the weekend of October 12 with three concerts by El Mundo performing works from their Grammy-nominated album Kingdoms of Castille. Directed by world-renowned guitarist and lutenist Richard Savino, El Mundo will take audiences on a musical journey from Castillian courts and cathedrals, and on to its viceroyalties in Naples, Peru, Mexico and Guatemala, where classical tradition blended with indigenous dances to create a unique Hispanic style that still exists today.

Five Boroughs Music Festival (5BMF) announces programming for its 2018-2019 season, continuing its mission of bringing affordable, world-class performances of traditional and contemporary chamber music to all five boroughs of New York City. The upcoming slate of concerts marks the organization's most collaborative season to date, including partnerships with GEMAS (Gotham Early Music / Americas Society), ClassicalCafe, Brooklyn Art Song Society, New York Festival of Song, and the LGBT Center ("The Center").

A Houston Early Music favorite, ensemble El Mundo, returns with a festive new program of 17th- and 18th-century Christmas music from Latin America. Titled Cathedrals, Monasteries & Missions, the concert will take place Tuesday, Dec. 12, at 7:30 p.m. at Christ Church Cathedral. This event is part of Houston Early Music's Hispanic Heritage Series.

Repast Baroque Ensemble will be in concert on Friday, May 19 and Saturday, May 20 - 8:00 PM both days, performing Latin American Baroque, May 19 at First Unitarian Church, 116 Pierrepont Street, Brooklyn Heights and May 20 at Advent Lutheran Church, 2504 Broadway at 93rd St. in Manhattan.

In celebration of The Metropolitan Museum of Art's exhibition Jerusalem 1000-1400: Every People Under Heaven, Schola Antiqua of Chicago will perform a program of sacred music that is inspired by the diverse religions existing within the city of Jerusalem. On Sunday, October 23, at 1:00 and 3:00 pm, The Suspended Harp: Sounds of Faith in Medieval Jerusalem will be staged in the Fuentidueña Chapel at The Met Cloisters, as part of the 2016-17 MetLiveArts season.

Back by popular demand - Apollo's Fire reprises its latest creative crossover program by Artistic Director Jeannette Sorrell, in collaboration with guest co-director Nell Snaidas.

Apollo's Fire, Cleveland's 'other' orchestra is credited with having built the largest audience in the nation for 'early-music' (Renaissance, Baroque and early Classical). Headed by Jeannette Sorrell, the orchestra is forging 'a vibrant approach to the re-making of authenticity.'

Back by popular demand - Apollo's Fire reprises its latest creative crossover program by Artistic Director Jeannette Sorrell, in collaboration with guest co-director Nell Snaidas.  “Sephardic Journey: Wanderings of the Spanish Jews” premiered in five sold-out concerts in February 2014.  The program will be performed during February 4-7 at several venues, including an important debut at the new Maltz Performing Arts Center of Case Western Reserve University. The performances will coincide with a highly anticipated release of the program on CD, for British record label AVIE.

Chatham Baroque will journey from its wintry home in Pittsburgh to the Houston Early Music series with "Cantadas de Navidad," a joyous program of Spanish and Latin American Christmas music, which will be presented on Saturday, Dec. 5, at Christ Church Cathedral as part of the Hispanic Heritage Series.
