Los Angeles' acclaimed IAMA Theatre Company will present the New York premiere of two new plays in repertory: DO LIKE THE KIDS DO & SHINER. Performances begin December 5 at The Studio NYC at Theatre Row.

Since its founding in 1961, La MaMa Experimental Arts Club has been a hub for risk-taking theater artists from around the globe. La MaMa will celebrate their 2013 season of performances with a gala honoring two pillars of arts journalism: former Village Voice critic Michael Feingold, and publisher Patsy Tarr of 2wice. Throughout their long careers, these two individuals have carved out a voice for the arts, championing countless artists working across platforms.

BAREtruth Theatre premier their first show BAREtruth:Theatre Uncut at The Pleasance Theatre and Southwark Playhouse. With seven brand new short plays, written for Theatre Uncut's newest writing season during November 2013, a yearly event where leading playwrights are asked to write based on some form of political issue and injustice. The question put the the writers this year 'Do we all get more right wing in hard times?'

Opening tonight, November 9th, Santa Monica Playhouse's Silver Anniversary performance run of aspirin & ELEPHANTS from the acclaimed team of Playwright Jerry Mayer and Director Chris DeCarlo. The show is now running through January 25th on weekends at 7:30 PM and Sunday matinees at 3 PM. (Currently sold out: November 30 - December 1st and December 21-January 5th)

Profiles Theatre announces that actor Paul Dillon returns to the role he originated in the 1992 world premiere of Hellcab by Will Kern for Profiles' holiday season revival of their hit production. Once again, Profiles Artistic Director Darrell W. Cox returns to direct a cast of 34 with Dillon joining the cast as the beleaguered cab driver and ensemble member Eric Burgher assistant directing. Profiles' production runs at The Main Stage, 4139 N. Broadway, tonight, November 8, 2013 - January 12, 2014. Please note new opening date: Wednesday, November 13, at 8:00 pm.

In celebration of its fourth season, Sanguine Theatre Company will produce EXIT 27, a new work by award-winning playwright, Aleks Merilo and directed by Mark Karafin. Based on a true story, EXIT 27 combines the themes of rejection, survival, and redemption in exploration of the human experience. As the overwhelming winner of Sanguine's highly competitive playwriting competition, EXIT 27 brings a stirring perspective of raw human nature in its NYC premiere.

Theatre of NOTE completes its 2013 season with the West Coast premiere of THE INVISIBLE PLAY written by Alex Dremann and directed by Amanda Weier. THE INVISIBLE PLAY will preview Friday, November 22nd and Saturday, November 23rd, and will open on Friday, December 6th at 8pm and run through Saturday, December 21st at Theatre of NOTE, 1517 N. Cahuenga Blvd (just north of Sunset) in Hollywood.

Rob van Meenen's bold and original new play Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI) hits the Toronto stage this December starring one of the most exciting and surprising ensembles of the year. The production will begin with a preview performanceDecember 5 for a strictly limited engagement of 12 shows at the Factory Studio Theatre through December 15, 2013. The official press opening is Saturday, December 7 at 8 pm.

Screendaily.com reports that Matthew Broderick and Alice Eve are set to star in Neil LaBute's comedy drama DIRTY WEEKEND. The film, written by LaBute, is currently in production on location in New Mexico.

With seven premieres on its stages this year, Artists Rep's 2013/14 season reinforces the theatre's longstanding commitment to producing new plays in Portland. With the U.S. premiere of Foxfinder starting tonight, October 29, Artists Rep aims to give this play national recognition and offer West Coast audiences the first look at this up-and-coming playwright.

Manhattan Theatre Club and MCC Theater co-produce the world premiere of The Snow Geese, a new play by Sharr White, directed by Tony Award winner Daniel Sullivan, starring Tony and Emmy Award winner Mary-Louise Parker. Producers Fran Kirmser and Tony Ponturo announced today that Bronx Bombers, a new American play written and directed by Eric Simonson, will begin performances on Broadway starting January 10, 2014 at Circle in the Square Theater (235 West 50th Street).
