BAREtruth Theatre premier their first show BAREtruth:Theatre Uncut at The Pleasance Theatre and Southwark Playhouse. With seven brand new short plays, written for Theatre Uncut's newest writing season during November 2013, a yearly event where leading playwrights are asked to write based on some form of political issue and injustice. The question put the the writers this year 'Do we all get more right wing in hard times?' The plays written for this years season:

'Project N.I.G.H.T.' by Tanika Gupta The Wing by Clara Brennan
True or False by Davey Anderson Amanda by Kieran Hurley
Pick One by Neil LaBute
Church forced to put up gates after font is used as a wash basin by migrants by Mark Thomas

Immigration is a huge concern that is constantly being tackled in the UK. Due to the news, gossip and the media, many races are undergoing forms of discrimination.

All of these plays show us examples of how we discriminate, who it's led by and teach us the real figures on who is really taking from the tax payer.

Over the past 3 years Theatre Uncut plays have been performed by over 3,000 people in 17 countries across 4 continents. Theatre Uncut was created to get people, thinking, talking and taking action.
