59E59 Theaters (Elysabeth Kleinhans, Artistic Director; Peter Tear, Executive Producer; Brian Beirne, Managing Director) is thrilled to welcome the return of St. Louis Actors' Studio with their acclaimed LaBUTE NEW THEATER FESTIVAL, an evening of one-act plays featuring the NYC premieres of short plays by Neil LaBute, Gabe McKinley, Cary Pepper, andAdam Seidel. Directed by Kel Haney, Michael Hogan, and John Pierson, the LaBUTE NEW THEATER FESTIVAL begins performances on Friday, January 13 for a limited engagement through Sunday, February 5.  The performance schedule is Tuesday - Thursday at 7:30 PM; Friday at 8:30 PM; Saturday at 2:30 PM & 8:30 PM; and Sunday at3:30 PM & 7:30 PM. Performances are at 59E59 Theaters (59 East 59th Street, between Park and Madison Avenues). Route 66 Theatre Company will launch its ninth season with the world premiere of Gabe McKinley's psychological drama THE SOURCE, directed by Jason Gerace, playing March 2 - April 2, 2017 at The Den Theatre, 1333 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Chicago.

Abingdon Theatre Company continues its Ghostlight Reading Series with TALL SKINNY CRUEL CRUEL BOYS by Caroline V. McGraw, author of Ultimate Beauty Bible (Page 73), on Thursday, December 15 at 7pm. The reading is free and open to the public at Abingdon Theatre Company's June Havoc Theatre (312 West 36th Street). Danya Taymor is set to direct.

Celebrating 10 seasons of Roundabout Underground, Roundabout Theatre Company has announced the sixth annual Roundabout Underground Reading Series, a five-night event that includes nightly readings of new works written and directed by emerging artists, as well as post-show receptions. The Reading Series will feature new works by Saheem Ali, Emily Feldman, Alex Lubischer, Don Nguyen, Ming Peiffer and Michael Thurber.

Following sold-out performances at The PIT and Dixon Place, THE MOTHER LINE STORY PROJECT is coming to the Abingdon Theatre Company's Dorothy Strelsin Theatre (312 West 36th Street) for a one-night-only engagement today, December 2 at 7pm.

The Playwrights Realm welcomes back The Wolves, Sarah DeLappe's debut play. The most recent addition is Kate Arrington, who will star alongside the original soccer team cast including Susannah Perkins, Lauren Patten (Fun Home), Jenna Dioguardi, Tedra Millan, Sarah Mezzanotte, Brenna Coates, Samia Finnerty, Midori Francis, and Lizzy Jutila.

Following sold-out performances at The PIT and Dixon Place, THE MOTHER LINE STORY PROJECT is coming to the Abingdon Theatre Company's Dorothy Strelsin Theatre (312 West 36th Street) for a one-night-only engagement on Friday, December 2 at 7pm. Created and performed by members of The Mother Line Story Project, this evening of unique stories celebrating women is based on an original concept by Eliza Simpson (co-star of Off-Broadway's The Woodsman). Kel Haney is set to direct.

Gulfshore Playhouse, Southwest Florida's Premiere Professional theatre, is very excited to announce that 2016 Tony Award-nominee Carmen Cusack will star in the one-woman, world premiere of Do This by Karen Siff Exkorn, which will run from January 7th through the 28th.

Six D.C.-area playmakers have been selected to participate in the third installment of Playwrights' Arena, a year-long program that invites a small group of local theater makers to investigate their artistic process and develop their dramaturgical practice. The program is co-facilitated by Arena Stage Deputy Artistic Director Seema Sueko and Dramaturg Jocelyn Clarke, and participants convene once per month at Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater.
