Long Beach Opera Announces 2021 Season

While acknowledging that the landscape for future performing arts events is currently uncertain, Long Beach Opera is forging ahead with plans for its 2021 a?oeSeason of Solidaritya?? beginning in January. Both LBO and Interim Artistic Advisor Yuval Sharon believe that collaboration and creative thinking will be the key to returning to performing arts activities, and understand that adaptability may be necessary to return to the important work of connecting individuals and communities through live, in-person artistic expression.

Film At Lincoln Center Unveils New Structure and Programming Team For New York Film Festival

Film at Lincoln Center announced today that the 58th New York Film Festival (NYFF), taking place from September 25th through October 11th, will feature changes to the festival's programming structure and new selection committee and advisory roles. Kickstarter Honoree Steve Locke Awarded 2020 Guggenheim Fellowship

Kickstarter has announced its community that artist Steve Locke was awarded a 2020 Guggenheim Fellowship by the Board of Trustees of the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation. His application, which included his Kickstarter-funded project Auction Block Memorial, was chosen among a diverse group of 175 scholars, artists, and writers out of a group of almost 3,000 applicants in the award's 96th year.
