Jane Fonda Set for CONVERSATIONS WITH COCO at L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center, 4/20

For the seventh installment of the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center's ongoing series, Conversations With Coco, Miss Coco Peru's series of live, unscripted interviews with celebrated performing artists, the L.A. drag legend welcomes the legendary actress Jane Fonda to the Center's Renberg Theatre. Like her previous get-togethers with Lily Tomlin, Lainie Kazan, Charles Busch, Lesley Ann Warren, Karen Black and the late Bea Arthur, Miss Coco has prepared a multi-media presentation featuring highlights of Ms. Fonda's storied career, as well as ample opportunity for the kind of casual yet in-depth conversation audiences have come to relish at Coco's table.

The L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center's Lily Tomlin/Jane Wagner Cultural Arts Center proudly announces the return of the celebrated monologist/singer/actor-actress Miss Coco Peru in an all-new, cabaret-style evening of stories, songs, lots of laughs, and a surprise or two! There Comes a Time is written and performed by the multiple-award winner Clinton Leupp (aka Miss Coco). The show closes May 22, at the Center's Renberg Theatre. Net proceeds benefit the free and low-cost services provided by the Center.

Jim Caruso and Billy Stritch's Cast Party has officially proven to be a bi-coastally success with its West Coast premiere on Thursday, April 1st at the world famous Magic Castle's highly popular Cabaret at the Castle. The Extreme Open Mic that has become a Broadway mainstay was as equally well packed with Hollywood elite, some of which took their turn at the mic. The witty and charming Caruso took charge of the stage, while the musical genius of Billy Stritch brought brilliant music to the ears of patrons and performers alike.

Shaiman's 'PROP 8-THE MUSICAL' Wins GLAAD Award Honors

At its annual awards ceremony GLAAD recognized Prop 8: The Musical, a video created for FunnyorDie.com in response to the passage of Proposition 8, a California ballot initiative which eliminated the right to marry for same-sex couples. Directed by Adam Shankman and written by Marc Shaiman, the video received over one million hits on its first day online. During the show, Miss Coco Peru and the Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles performed the song live onstage. Shankman accepted the award on behalf of the team of creators.
