Hartford Stage Artistic Director Darko Tresnjak and Managing Director Michael Stotts today announced that Jeeves & Wooster in "Perfect Nonsense," the Olivier Award-winning comedy from brothers David and Robert Goodale, will make its North American premiere at Hartford Stage during the 2018-19 season. Original director Sean Foley will return to stage the show in Hartford.
The Kitchen presents a multimedia project from Charles Atlas, continuing the institution's nearly 45-year relationship with the video art pioneer. In The Kitchen's gallery, two new video installations take a retrospective look at Atlas' work while offering a counterpoint to his interactive 2003 show Instant Fame! and its portraits of downtown figures (through May 12).

Hartford Stage will embark upon the final phase of a $14 million, multi-year plan to transform the 50 Church Street theatre's functionality, comfort and accessibility. ]As of now, as dusk descends on Lincoln Center, the ground in front of the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts is being illuminated with the digital exhibition, 'Robbins at Night,' featuring images of the dancing career and choreography of Jerome Robbins. It's being sourced exclusively from the collections of the Dance Division. The photographs, which span from the 1940's through the 1990's, chart Robbins' journey from dancer with American Ballet Theatre throughout to choreographer and Co-Artistic Director of New York City Ballet.
De Funes Dance is thrilled to share its newest full-length program, INTERIOR DIALOGUES. This trio of works includes two world premieres, 'Fragments,' and 'V.,' and an encore presentation of 'Crisalida'. The writings of Friedrich Nietzsche in 'Fragments,' and Virginia Woolf in 'V,' and the music of Argentinian composer Astor Piazzolla in 'Crisalida,' combine with the literature of our own personal histories to reveal the interior language of our minds. INTERIOR DIALOGUES is conceived and choreographed by Diego Funes in collaboration with the dancers.

Stephen Petronio Company will honor fashion visionary Patricia Field and lifelong patron of dance Sylvia Drulie Mazzola at the company's 2018 Benefit on March 21. The evening will feature the fourth season of Bloodlines, a five-year autobiographical project that not only honors the lineage of American postmodern dance, but also traces the influences and impulses that have shaped choreographer Stephen Petronio.
Darko Tresnjak will step down as Hartford Stage's Artistic Director at the conclusion of the 2018-19 season. Tresnjak has served as the Tony Award-winning theatre's artistic leader since 2011. A national search will be conducted to find his replacement.
Ephrat "Bounce" Asherie, Artistic Director of Ephrat Asherie Dance, is awarded the inaugural Jacob's Pillow Fellowship at Tilles Center for the Performing Arts at LIU Post. The fellowship includes a $15,000 grant, a one-week residency at Jacob's Pillow's new Pillow Lab, and a residency at LIU Tilles Center. Executive Vice Chairman Roger Tilles was integral in making this new partnership between Jacob's Pillow and Long Island University possible.
The Celebrity Series of Boston welcomes jazz vocalist Jazzmeia Horn to kick off its fourth annual Stave Sessions, the unique concert series showcasing the innovative, the experimental, and the collaborative approaches of emerging artists.
