INTAR (Lou Moreno, Artistic Director/John McCormack, Executive Director) today announced the World Premiere of Scissoring, a new play by Christina Quintana, directed by Estefania Fadul. Scissoring will star Ryan Vincent Anderson (We Live Here - EST); Kim Brockington ('Guiding Light,' School of Rock, upcoming: lead in 'Asunder,' USA Network); Vanessa Butler (2017 Connecticut Critics Circle Award, Outstanding Actress in a Play for Queens for a Year, Hartford Stage); Ally Carey (Macbeth -NY Classical Theatre), Marie Louise Guinier (ABC's 'What Would You Do?,' Most Dangerous Man in America - NFT); Ashley Marie Ortiz (INTAR Unit 52); and Elise Santora (Reba in 'Orange Is The New Black,' Broadway: In The Heights, The Capeman).

The American-Chinese CEO Society (ACCS), a highly respected non-profit organization of CEO's from high-profile US and Chinese companies, announced their annual 'Chinese Oscar Night Gala and Award Ceremony.'
The Chinese Oscar Night Gala and Award Ceremony is a multi-cultural celebration and Oscar-viewing awards dinner taking place Sunday evening, March 4th, at the chic Sofitel Hotel in Beverly Hills.
The ACCS, an esteemed business networking organization headquartered in Los Angeles, Shanghai and Beijing, is dedicated to connecting US and Chinese business leaders to help foster international business deals, investments and trade. They have worked for years to promote valuable economic exchanges between the US and China, and to foster trust and enhanced communication between their many members from different nations.

Jump-Start Performance Co. is hosting THE BRUNCH OF CHAMPIONS on Sunday, October 8, 2017, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at La Tuna Ice House, 100 Probandt. Three champions of Creativity, Connection and Courage will be honored, and proceeds from the fundraising event will support the artistic programming of Jump-Start's 2017-2018 season. Jump-Start's champions are Zet Baer, John McBurney and Martha Prentiss. Each one has a long history with the non-profit, as a theatre artist and as a supporter. Each discovered Jump-Start in its early days and has been part of the company's extended family for at least 25 years, following it from spaces on S. Alamo and at Blue Star Arts Complex to its current home in Beacon Hill.
