Porchlight Music Theatre and Artistic Director Michael Weber have announced the final mainstage production it its 2016 - 2017 season Marry Me a Little, starring Austin Cook and Bethany Thomas, music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and originally conceived by Craig Lucas and Norman Rene, with direction by Jess McLeod and music direction by Porchlight Artistic Associate Cook.

Porchlight Music Theatre announces the Chicago premiere of the Broadway musical The Scottsboro Boys, February 3 - March 12, featuring music and lyrics by John Kander and Fred Ebb, book by David Thompson, direction by Samuel G. Roberson, Jr, music direction by Doug Peck and choreography by Florence Walker-Harris with Breon Arzell as associate choreographer, at Stage 773, 1225 W. Belmont Ave. The performance schedule is Thursdays at 7:30 p.m., Fridays at 8 p.m., Saturdays at 4 and 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. There is an added matinee performance Thursday, March 2 at 1:30 p.m. NOTE: *There are no Thursday 7:30 p.m. performances February 9 and March 2. Tickets for previews are $38 and for the regular run $45 - $51. Porchlight Music Theatre's Executive Director Jeannie Lukow is proud to announce the hiring of the organization's first education director, Jillian Abbinanti. Abbinanti begins Monday, Dec. 12 in this new position that is charged with creating and building integrated education offerings for children, teens, professionals and hobbyists. In addition to creating and directing the new Education Outreach program and Summer Camp program, she will oversee the established School at Porchlight's professional and hobbyist class offerings, ensuring all education activities align with Porchlight's strategic goals.

The annual CHICAGO CASTING AUCTION is a unique opportunity for amateur theatre lovers to experience the thrill of being on stage in a professionally produced Chicago stage production - no experience or training required! The Casting Auction, in association with Porchlight Music Theatre, will be auctioning off over 30 roles for this season's musical production, All Shook Up, on Friday, November 4, 2016 at Michelle's Ballroom, 2800 W.
