The outrageous new 80's horror comedy rock musical from the twisted mind of Hudson Valley native, Sean Matthew Whiteford (Book, Music & Lyrics), is BACK! Recently coming off sold-out performances at New York City's 54 Below & The Cutting Room, GIRLFRIEND FROM HELL: THE MUSICAL is a hilarious homage to the best worst 80s movies, and a wild night you won't soon forget!

A bevy of New York talent and Broadway producers mingled with guests in New Hope, PA, during the cast party held at Hotel du Village following the opening night performance of 'Rock and Roll Man: The Alan Freed Story', a Caiola Production, making its world premiere at Bucks County Playhouse through October 1, 2017. 'Rock and Roll Man: The Alan Freed Story' is making its world premiere at Bucks County Playhouse through October 1, 2017. The high energy musical drama stars Tony-nominee Alan Campbell ('Sunset Blvd.') as Alan Freed and multiple-Emmy nominee George Wendt (Norm from 'Cheers') as J. Edgar Hoover. The full cast is set for CRUDE - THE MUSICAL, an official selection of the 2016 New York Musical Festival (NYMF). CRUDE is one of 10 new musicals to be presented as readings at the festival this month.  

Theatre By the Sea (TBTS) in Wakefield, RI (I would have thought Matunuck) opens its season with a rousing version of BUDDY-THE BUDDY HOLLY STORY, a jukebox musical in two acts with a book written by Alan Janes, and music and lyrics by a variety of songwriters, mostly of course, Buddy Holly. Based on the life and career of the early rock and roller, the musical hews more closely to Holly's actual life story than the 1978 film version, which starred Gary Busey, and follows Holly from his struggles to escape country music and establish himself as a rocker, to his untimely death in a plane crash in 1959.

Get out your boogie shoes and head to the disco with the mega-musical Saturday Night Fever on stage at the Ogunquit Playhouse from September 23 to October 25. This high-energy show features the Bee Gees electrifying chart-topping score along with astounding and dazzling choreography by Broadway choreographer Richard Hinds. The stage musical is based on the 1977 film that became a cultural phenomenon and cemented the Bee Gees as disco era icons and catapulted John Travolta to mega-stardom. The musical includes the hits 'Stayin' Alive,' 'How Deep is Your Love,' 'More Than a Woman,' 'You Should Be Dancing,' and more!

The Cutting Room, one of New York City's exciting night clubs, presented Sean Matthew Whiteford (Rock of Ages, Rock N Roll Debauchery)'s concert version of his 80s pop-rock romantic horror comedy party musical, GIRLFRIEND FROM HELL: THE MUSICAL on August 1st at 7:30 PM. Inspired by the 1989 B-movie of the same title, GIRLFRIEND FROM HELL tells the story of four-eyed wallflower, Maggie Miller, who longs for acceptance and romance.
