Beanie Feldstein Will Depart Funny Girl July 31st

Beanie Feldstein announced this evening that she will be departing Funny Girl on Broadway July 31st, 2022. Feldstein was previously scheduled to depart the production with co-star Jane Lynch on September 25th.

FUNNY GIRL Begins Broadway Preview Performances Tonight

FUNNY GIRL begins previews on Broadway tonight, Saturday March 26, 2022, on the 58th  Anniversary of the Opening Night of the original production, at the August Wilson Theatre (245 W. 52nd Street). Produced by Sonia Friedman, Scott Landis and David Babani, this highly anticipated, first-ever Broadway revival stars Screen Actors Guild Award nominee Beanie Feldstein as Fanny Brice, Tony and Olivier Award nominee Ramin Karimloo as Nick Arnstein, Jeff Award winner Jared Grimes as Eddie Ryan and five-time Emmy Award winner Jane Lynch as  Mrs. Rose Brice.

The show's stars Beanie Feldstein (Fanny Brice) and Ramin Karimloo (Nick Arnstein) sat down together to talk about their favorite moments from the show's rehearsal process.

FUNNY GIRL Broadway Revival is Aiming to Begin Performances in April 2022

No information has been released on who has been cast in these roles, but there were previously rumors that Lady Gaga would take on the iconic role of Fanny. More recent rumors on the internet pointed to the possibility of Idina Menzel leading the production, but those rumors were also never confirmed. Last year, Rosie O'Donnell revealed that she would be playing Mrs. Brice, but this does not appear to be true, as the production is looking to cast that role.

Winners Announced for the 10th Annual Off Broadway Alliance Awards!

On Tuesday, May 19, presenters Charles Bush and Julie Halston, along with OBA President Peter Breger, announced the 10th Annual Off Broadway Alliance. The Off Broadway Alliance plans on celebrating this year's winners with a reception this Fall.
