In 2019, Sierra Stages begins its second decade of presenting quality local theater in Grass Valley and Nevada City with three provocative shows: The legendary musical "Cabaret", the black comedy "Hand to God", and the intimate musical revue "You're Gonna Love Tomorrow: A Stephen Sondheim Evening".

Insight Theatre Company continues its 10th season with On Golden Pond. On Golden Pond had its Broadway appearance in 1979.

Rising Sun Performance Company will be presenting a Revival of 'The Glory of Living' By Rebecca Gilman, to take place at the 9th annual Planet Connections Theatre Festivity. The Festival will take place June 12th through July 9th at the Clemente.

Agreement has been reached between Norman Kline Productions, Inc., CreaTV San Jose and History San Jose to work in partnership to produce a major documentary on the history of San Jose. Acclaimed producer/director Michael Pierce has been tapped to direct the film based on an original script by Norman Kline.
