Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures in association with Unique Features announced today that the new Broadway musical ELF shattered the box office record at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre (302 W 45th St) a third time for the week ending December 26, 2010.

Dan Lauria, star of Broadway's LOMBARDI, braved blizzard conditions this morning to be part of GOOD MORNING AMERICA's annual coat drive.

Judith Light, who is currently starring as Marie Lombardi in Broadway's LOMBARDI, will be interviewed by Dana Tyler on WCBS TV's "News 2 Sunday" on December 26 between 8:30-9:00 AM, on Channel 2 in the tri-state area.

The cast of the hit Broadway show LOMBARDI celebrated the season yesterday, December 19, with a holiday celebration during the Green Bay Packers/New England Patriots game. The company kicked off the evening bowling at the new Bowlmor Lanes in Times Square and ended the night watching the game at Bowlmor's stand-alone sports bar, The Stadium Grill.

The Fred Ebb Foundation (Mitchell Bernard, Trustee) in association with the Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) presented the sixth annual Fred Ebb Award for aspiring musical theatre songwriters to Douglas J. Cohen on November 29. The award, named in honor of the late award-winning lyricist Fred Ebb, was presented by David Thompson (The Scottsboro Boys). While football and baseball have been slugging it out for decades for the title of America's Most Popular Sport, there's no doubt that the latter is Broadway's baby, boasting Tony-winners Damn Yankees and Take Me Out.  Aside from inspiring amusing songs for Wonderful Town and High Button Shoes, football's longest Broadway run was the short-lived musical All-American, which featured the unlikely combination of Ray Bolger acting in scenes written by Mel Brooks.  Heck, even basketball (That Championship Season) and rugby (The Changing Room) have fared better on Broadway than football.
