Gene Siskel Film Center presents the Chicago Premiere of the new documentary about legendary choreographer Bill T. Jones.

The music of Mickey Leonard, composer and arranger cherished by the cabaret and jazz communities was presented by Karen Oberlin at the Metropolitan Room on January 22, 2011. The evening was hosted by David Hadju and Mr. Leonard's music was sung & played by a bevy of the music worlds finest. The event will also take place on February 10, at 9:30 hosted by Rex Reed. Mickey Leoanrd has written some of the most beloved standards of the Great American Songbook, such as 'Why Did I Choose You?' and 'I'm All Smiles' with lyrics by Herb Martin. He has also written with lyricists Carolyn Leigh and Marshall Barer to name a few, and he has arranged and conducted for the legendary jazz pianist Bill Evans and many others. Based on the sold-out engagement at Michael's New York nightclub, Feinstein's at Loews Regency the disc features pop songs, classic standards and numbers from Broadway shows like Kiss Me Kate, City Of Angels and The King and I.

Cheyenne Jackson can't get enough of the small screen this week. Tomorrow, November 12, he makes his much anticipated debut appearance on 30 Rock, and will also appear on the Today Show with fellow songbird Michael Feinstein to promote their new album The Power of Two. He and Michael will be interviewed and perform a song off of the album. The segment, hosted by Kathie Lee and Hoda, airs at 10:30am EST on MSNBC.

Take Wing And Soar Productions' Spring Gala will honor actor Earle Hyman with the 'Take Wing And Soar Spirit of Excellence Pioneer Award.' The reception & presentation, on Tuesday, April 17, 2007, will be followed by the performance of their Mainstage production of William Shakespeare's Hamlet.

Take Wing And Soar Productions will present William Shakespeare's Hamlet at the Workshop Theatre on 312 W 36th St. Starring Timothy D. Stickney as Hamlet, the show is directed by Elizabeth Swain and features Petronia Paley (Gertrude), Arthur French (Polonius, Gravedigger), and Jerome Preston Bates (Claudius).
