On Thursday, August 2, The California Women's Conference (CWC) launched their plans for this years highly anticipated conference on September 23rd & 24th at the Hotel Maya/Double Tree Hotel by Hilton in Long Beach. Among those in attendance were Marcia Cross, Frances Fisher, Tippi Hedren, Sharon Lawrence, Morgan Brittany, Kate Linder, Erin Murphy, Romi Dames, Donzaleigh Abernathy, Geri Jewell, Lee Purcell, Mother Love, Barbara Van Orden and Mary McDonough, Kami Cotler and Judy Norton of The Waltons fame.

Emmy Award-winner Peter Lefcourt's new play makes its World Premiere debut at the Odyssey Theatre, opening tonight, July 21, 2012 at 8pm. Mutually Assured Destruction runs 8pm Fridays and Saturdays, and 3pm Sundays through August 26, 2012.

On Thursday, June 28th, Los Angeles theatre lovers were given a gift of a very rare and unique experience that took them back in time, when the Broadway theatre scene in downtown Los Angeles used to rival that of New York's Great White Way. An eclectic list of Hollywood representatives have been known to take Red Lines walking tours of the silver screen capital's Hollywood Boulevard. It was an equally impressive list of individuals who gathered for the recent tour of Broadway theatres, including JoAnne Worley, Erin Murphy, Michael Learned, and many others. THE WALTONS 40th Anniversary Reunion: Celebrating Family & Education is set for Saturday, September 29, 2012.

TVGuide.com reports that the cast of the long-running CBS drama series THE WALTONS will reunite in Los Angeles on Saturday, September 29. The Emmy-winning drama, set during the era of the Depression, ran on CBS from 1971-1981.

HUNGER: IN BED WITH ROY COHN is a world premiere fantasy play by Joan Beber about Roy Cohn, the attorney whose hunger for power and prominence ultimately destroyed him.

Variety reports today that the upcoming revival of A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE will open April 22, with previews beginning April 3. The show, which has been hunting for a theatre since this past summer, will take Broadway's Broadhurst Theatre (which had been booked by the delayed revival of REBECCA).
