The Paley Center for Media will present Shaping Our Nation's Story: African- American Achievements in Television Presented by Citi from February 1-28. Coinciding with the 60th anniversary of Motown and the 100th birthday anniversary celebration of Jackie Robinson, this monthlong celebration will take place at the Paley Center's locations in New York City and Beverly Hills and will feature an interactive exhibit, family craft activities, education classes for high school students focusing on the civil rights movement, and screenings that take visitors on a nostalgic journey through the most significant African-American moments in television. 

Impeaching America is an allegorical political satire about AMERICA who is confused, frustrated, disillusioned and just plain tired.  His solution is to impeach himself.  He wants to quit, but he wants to quit with Honor and with the Due Process as provided for within his document of creation: the Constitution.  He initiates the proceeding by selecting a Bi-Bunal (he wanted to get three, but for many reasons, no one else wanted to do it) consisting of Godd and Satann to determine his/our fate.  He is defended by three attorneys: a liberal, a conservative and a voice of reason.

The Atlanta Musical Theatre Festival is proud to announce the selections for the Third Annual Atlanta Musical Theatre Festival (AMTF), which will be held August 6th, 7th, 13th & 14th, 2018 at Out Front Theatre. The AMTF will be four nights of original musical theatre performances by local artists, and written by authors from around the country. Performances will be open to the artistic community, the public, and the press. Individual Tickets are only $12-$17 (not including taxes and fees), and full festival passes are available for $50 at www.outfronttheatre.com. The Garden State Film Festival, which will be celebrating its 'Sweet Sixteen' Anniversary, which returns to Asbury Park, New Jersey, March 22-25, 2018, is happy to announce some of the feature selections for this year's festival.

Playwright Timberlake Wertenbaker explores the contradictions between our founding fathers' ideals and the realities of freedom in America. Christian, a Quaker pacifist, defies his family to fight in the American Revolution. Susannah, an enslaved woman, is tempted to fight for the British when they promise her liberty. On their travels, Christian and Susannah cross paths with Thomas Jefferson, George Mason and Sally Hemings.

Broadway star Patrick Cassidy is making his Wick Theatre debut as Stephen Kodaly in She Loves Me, playing the role that won his father, Jack Cassidy, a Tony Award. He will be joined by Julie Kleiner, Matthew Kacergis and Lauren Weinberg in this this romantic musical comedy, which debuted on Broadway in 1963 and was revived in 2016.

Kaufman Music Center's annual Broadway Close Up series at Merkin Concert Hall gives theater fans a new perspective on the shows and songs they love.

On Thursday, October 26, 7 PM, two-time Fred Ebb Award finalists Don and Jeff Breithaupt (aka The Breithaupt Brothers), whose Seeing Stars -- an original musical comedy written with book writer Shelley McPherson -- delighted sold-out audiences at the New York Musical Festival and whose recent recording, Just Passing Through, prompted CBC Radio to call their songs 'worthy of the Great American Songbook,' bring their songbook back to Joe's Pub for an all-star revue. The show will feature a cast of acclaimed cabaret, musical theater, and jazz singers fronted by a sparkling house band. Singing a selection of new Breithaupt Brothers songs and favorites, as well as a clutch of songs from Seeing Stars, will be rising cabaret star Marissa Mulder, the Manhattan Transfer's Janis Siegel, jazz trio Duchess, Broadway's Jeremy Kushnier, singer-songwriter Jamie Leonhart, cabaret spitfire Shelley McPherson, The Sweet Remains' Greg Naughton, and actors Michael Halling, Christian Campbell, Joan Hess, Chris Bolan, and Todd Gearhart.
