STAGE AND SCREEN Original Cast Recording Announced, Release Party Held 5/20

The new original musical comedy STAGE AND SCREEN - written and composed by Kip Dennis, with music direction, arrangements and orchestration by six-time Emmy Award winning Musical Director Lanny Meyers - will make available a limited number of copies of its brand new Original Cast Recording, beginning on May 20, 2009, it has been announced by lead producer Vasi Laurence. 'Star Crossed Lovers' - 'West Side Story' & 'Romeo & Juliet'

Based loosely on Romeo and Juliet, West Side Story offers a modern-day telling of tragic love with Bernstein's music bringing a new dimension to the classic love story of social and racial strife. Symphonic Dance Music from West Side Story offers the best of Bernstein's beloved music and captures the essence of the story with four movements featuring wonderful dance beats including the Mambo, Cha-cha and the bop sound associated with the conflict between the Jets and the Sharks.

Penny Fuller & Mark Jacoby to star in 'A Little Night Music' at White Plains Perf Arts Center

White Plains Performing Arts Center (Jack W. Batman, Executive Producer) is pleased to announce complete casting for the upcoming production of the Tony Award-winning Best Musical A Little Night Music, by Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler. The cast of this brand new production of this Broadway masterpiece will feature Tony Award nominees Penny Fuller (Applause, Dividing The Estate) as ?Desiree? and Mark Jacoby (Ragtime) as ?Fredrick,? Broadway veteran Sheila Smith (Follies) as ?Madame Armfeldt,? Laura Osnes (Grease) as ?Anne? and Rachel de Benedet (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Nine) as ?Charlotte.? A Little Night Music will be directed by Sidney J. Burgoyne, who helmed this season?s acclaimed Camelot and last year?s sold-out production of Ragtime for the theatre, with Music Direction by James Bassi with choreography by Melissa Rae Mahon and Sean McKnight.

NYMF's 'Play it Cool'

The New York Musical Theater Festival may be spawning something extraordinarily special with their production of PLAY IT COOL. The show, with a book by Martin Casella and Larry Dean Harris, features music by Philip Swan and lyrics by Mark Winkler. Is set in a 1920's Hollywood jazz club catering to a gay clientele and is owned my Mary (Sally Mayes), who has put all her life's savings into it.
