Beavercreek Community Theatre Presents 'She Loves Me' March 6 - 15

The entanglements of love are the roots of comedy for the next Beavercreek Community Theatre production, "She Loves Me."

Maraczek's Parfumerie is the setting for this romantic 60's-era musical about Georg Nowack, played by Adam Leigh of Kettering, and his co-workers, who lead quietly dreary lives as sales assistants in a little Budapest boutique until Amalia Balash shows up, looking for a job.

Once Amalia, portrayed by Amy Brown of Miamisburg, is hired, life in anything but quiet or dreary in the little boutique. She and Georg passionately hate each other, which creates an interesting situation when he discovers that she's actually the secret pen pal he's been exchanging "Dear Friend" letters with.

Chris Harmon of Beavercreek directs the reconciliation of their simultaneous love and hate relationship at 8 p.m. March 6, 7, 13 and 14 and at 3 p.m. on March 8 and 15.

The crew of "She Loves Me" includes Beavercreek residents Bruce Green as the producer, Dr James Tipps as the music director and Hans Unser as the stage manager. John Falkenbach of Kettering is in charge of the lighting while Dayton residents Josh Hollister and John Ueber are the costumer and choreographer, respectively.

The cast of the show, which is being sponsored by the University of Dayton Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, includes Michael Hall and Sandra Hyde of Beavercreek, Allie Hill of Riverside, Jeannine Geise of Miamisburg, Becki Norgaard and Karan Singh of Kettering, Dallas Pritt of Enon and Jim Lockwood of Huber Heights, Daniel Bayes and Mark Diffenderfer of Dayton and Fairborn residents Chuck Larkowski, Megan Grabiel and Megan Vander Kolk.

Charles Penird of Dayton will be conducting the show's band which consists of Allison French of Beavercreek on the clarinet; Bob Patrick Berry of Dayton on bass and Esther Mills of Dayton on piano.

Tickets are $12 for adults and $11 for BCT members, students, and senior citizens.
A group discount of $1 per ticket is available to groups of 10 or more purchased at the same time for the same performance.
