GAYFEST NYC, Inc., (Bruce Robert Harris and Jack W. Batman, Producers), the country's premier producer of new LGBT-themed plays, continues its Fourth Annual Festival, a five-week event (May 6 - June 6, 2010) filled with new theatre works spotlighting gay issues, conclude the festival with the world premiere of the new musical This One Girl's Story (inspired by the proud life of Sakia Gunn), based on a true story with book by Bil Wright, music and lyrics by Dionne McClain-Freeney.

The award-winning York Theatre Company presents the musical, JESUS' KID BROTHER, May 25th at 3 p.m. The musical is part of the York Theatre Company's Development Reading Series which announced the cast for two other new musicals: THE AGE OF INNOCENCE with a reading on May 27th and LA LLARONA with a reading on June 2nd. All reading take place at York Theatre at Saint Peter's Church, enter on 54th Street Just East of Lexington.

The Artistic Home, near the corner of Byron and Clark on the outskirts of Chicago's Wrigleyville neighborhood, is directly across the street from a cemetery. Well, three cemeteries, I think. The PBS concert version of A TALE OF TWO CITIES will get a DVD and cast recording to be released in the upcoming months. The concert was filmed this past summer at England's Theater Royal Brighton that will be Broadcast on PBS stations, beginning November 26. The concert production features an international cast including James Barbour, Brandi Burkhardt, Natalie Toro, and Kevin Earley from the Broadway production.
