Main Street Theater will open its 2009-2010 MainStage season with the English-language premiere of a new adaptation of Isabel Allende's best-selling novel, The House of the Spirits, on September 10, 2009 and running through October 11.
Producers Frederick Zollo, Michael G. Wilson, Barbara Broccoli, Raymond L. Gaspard, Frank Gero, Cheryl Wiesenfeld, Jeffrey Sine, Michael Rose and Robert Cole announced today that Daniel Craig and Hugh Jackman will star together on Broadway in A STEADY RAIN, a critically acclaimed two-character play by Keith Huff. Directed by Tony Award nominee John Crowley, A STEADY RAIN begins previews on Thursday, September 10, 2009 and opens Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre (236 West 45th Street) for a strictly limited 12 week engagement through Sunday, December 6, 2009.

Rupert Goold's critically acclaimed production of Harold Pinter's No Man's Land, which recouped its production costs last month, will complete run as scheduled at the Duke of York's Theatre on 3 January 2009.
The UK's Guardian revealed that the funeral of playwright Harold Pinter on the afternoon of December 30th before a small gathering of family and friends at Kensal Green cemetery in London was a well planned event. And, if the half-hour ceremony conducted around the graveside had a deeply moving, faintly Shakespearean and entirely secular quality to it, it was because Pinter himself had wished it that way reports the Guardian.

Rupert Goold directs Michael Gambon, David Bradley, David Walliams and Nick Dunning in Harold Pinter's No Man's Land, at the Duke of York's Theatre. The production is currently booking until 3 January 2009. A Gate Theatre, Dublin production, No Man's Land is presented by Sonia Friedman Productions and Michael Colgan, with design by Giles Cadle, lighting by Neil Austin and sound and music by Adam Cork. Goold's production transfers to London following its opening at the Gate Theatre, Dublin in August.
