BOEING BOEING Revival, THE SHEFFIELD MYSTERIES & More Set for Sheffield Theatres' 2014 Season

Artistic Director Daniel Evans today reveals Sheffield Theatres' spring season for 2014. The spring includes a season of work dedicated to playwright Brian Friel running across all three auditoria, the world premiere of a new dance-theatre adaptation of Kes, by Barnsley born director Jonathan Watkins; a major revival of fast-paced French farce Boeing Boeing, directed by Jonathan Humphreys, and The Sheffield Mysteries, the new Sheffield People's Theatre production directed by Daniel Evans. The company will also co-produce a brand new production with Third Angel, The Life and Loves of a Nobody.

Curtain Call Performing Arts' Comedy NOISES OFF Closes This Weekend, 10/25-26

Noises Off, Curtain Call Performing Arts' (CCPA) critically acclaimed stage comedy, is set to close this weekend with shows on Friday and Saturday October 25 and 26 at 8PM respectively, at the Curtain Call Performing Arts Theatre (formerly California Conservatory Theatre, CCT), in downtown San Leandro. Audiences and critics agree the show is an "ambitious and memorably hilarious hit," as expressed by Julie Grabowski of the Tri City Voice newspaper. Inside the intimate 67-seat theatre crowds have laughed the night away since September 27 and now 12 shows into the 14 show run, on Saturday night the curtain will close on this cast of seasoned Bay Area actors.

Lacy lingerie and lots and lots of sardines abound in the Clarence Brown Theatre season opener 'Noises Off' playing on the mainstage September 5-22, 2013. The two-time Tony nominated farce written by Michael Frayn looks at the follies of theatre people, whose susceptibility to out-of-control egos, memory loss and passionate affairs turns every performance into quite the adventure. If you enjoy a good laugh, this production is definitely for you. The New York Times critic Frank Rich called it 'the funniest play written in my lifetime.' Special behind-the-scenes tours will be given following the Sept. 11 and 12 shows. Corporate sponsors for the production are Schaad Companies and Pilot Flying J. Nicola has announced that Fetch Clay, Make Man, written by Will Power and directed by Des McAnuff, will begin performances tonight, August 23 at NYTW, 79 East 4 Street, between Bowery and Second Avenue. Opening night is set for Thursday, September 12 at 7pm. Fetch Clay, Make Man is scheduled to run through Sunday, October 13; tickets are on sale now.

Megan Mullally is a two-time Emmy-winning star of TV's Will & Grace, and recent star of Broadway's Young Frankenstein. On August 28 & 29 she returns to Provincetown by popular demand - for two shows only - after her sold-out Art House debut last summer.
