Since its premiere in 1982, "Noises Off" has become one of the most popular plays in the English language. The feverishly paced, hilarious door slamming comedy will be presented by the Fine Arts Center Theatre Company from September 26 through October 20, 2013 in the SaGaJi Theatre.

This farce-within-a-farce captures a hapless English theatre troupe's touring production of "Nothing On" in three stages: dress rehearsal, and two Wednesday matinees during the run of the production. The play shows the behind-the-scenes life of putting on a play, and progresses from flubbed lines and missed cues in the dress rehearsal to mounting friction between cast members in the final act.

The actors forget their props, suffer wardrobe malfunctions and somehow survive each others' flaws, foibles, theatrics, and love triangles. From award-winning playwright Michael Frayn, Noises Off is a wickedly funny revelation of what can happen on the other side of the curtain.

Scenic Designer Christopher Sheley designed the plays' impressive set, which revolves to allow the audience to see both on-stage and behind the curtain.

Cory Moosman is directing Noises Off. His previous directorial credits at the FAC include The Drowsy Chaperone and the two most successful musicals in FAC history, Beauty and the Beast and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Moosman has appeared on stage as Max in The Producers and Dave in The Full Monty. He also co-writes and stars in the WYNOT Radio Theatre shows.

The cast includes several FAC veterans including Birgitta DePree (Other Desert Cities), Sammie Joe Kinnett (Sweeney Todd), Max Ferguson (Jaques Brel), Casiena Raether (The Drowsy Chaperone), and Sammy Gleason (Other Desert Cities). This will be the FAC acting debut for Scott Bellot, Shanna Brook, Michael Miller and Joye Cook-Levy, who directed both In The Next Room (or the vibrator play) and A Christmas Story at the FAC recently.

The creative team includes Holly Anne Rawls (Lighting Design), Janson Fangio (Costume Design), Katelyn Springer (Properties Design), and Jonathon Eberhardt (Hair and Make-up Design).

Enjoy a gourmet meal at Café 36 prior to the show. The award-winning staff will prepare a prix fixe chef's menu that will match the theme of the production. Reservations are recommended and can be made at 719.477.4377.
