The biggest ever North American arena tour of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber's groundbreaking rock musical is coming to Detroit at Joe Louis Arena on Saturday, June 28 with an extraordinary cast of rock, pop and R&B superstars.

The Really Useful Group and AEG Live concluded a UK arena tour of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber's legendary rock classic Jesus Christ Superstar back in 2013, which starred Tim Minchin as 'Judas Iscariot', Spice Girl Melanie C as 'Mary Magdalene' and Winner of ITV's Superstar, Ben Forster as 'Jesus'. It was officially announced on Good Morning America today that a 50-city US tour will kick off on June 9 in New Orleans, featuring Forster (Jesus), Brandon Boyd (Judas), JC Chasez (Pilate), Michelle Williams (Mary), and John Rotten Lydon (King Herod). Producers of the five-time Tony Award nominated hit musical ROCK OF AGES are have announced that direct from the Las Vegas production Carrie St. Louis will make her Broadway debut in the lead role of Sherrie - the 'small town girl' who 'took the midnight train goin' anywhere' - on Monday, April 21, 2014. Carrie St. Louis originated the role of Sherrie in the Las Vegas production, which opened on January 5, 2013, for which she received The Broadway World Las Vegas Award for Best Actress in a Musical.

The five-time Tony Award Nominated musical ROCK OF AGES continues to celebrate its 5th Anniversary on Broadway, #RockofAge5, by bringing Broadway's Best Party back to NBC's TODAY SHOW on Thursday, March 20. The Broadway production of A Night With Janis Joplin plays its final performance tonight, Sunday, February 9 at 7PM at the Lyceum Theatre. The show has played 22 preview performances and 141 regular performances since beginning previews on Friday, September 20 and opening on Thursday, October 10. SPIDER-MAN: TURN OFF THE DARK might have closed on Broadway, but its drama continues. The New York Times reports that Daniel Curry, who was injured in August while performing in the musical, filed a lawsuit this week against the show's producers, engineering consultants and others, pointing to the "negligence in the design and operation of a mechanical lift that Mr. Curry was using onstage when he was hurt."

A NIGHT WITH JANIS JOPLIN, the new Broadway musical, is celebrating Joplin's birthday with special activities at the theatre and online on Sunday, January 19.At the theatre for both the matinee and evening performances, there will be a special photo booth, supplied by Top Hat Photo Booths, where audience members can write special messages in honor of Joplin's birthday and take photos with the messages. Following the performance the cast will give a special birthday salute to Joplin.
