Deadline reports that Matthew Settle (Gossip Girl) has signed on for Universal's horror film OUIJA. He will play 'Anthony Morris', the father of Laine Morris (Olivia Cooke). Filming began in LA this week.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Universal's upcoming horror film OUIJA has completed its cast before filming begins in LA this week. Bianca Santos (The Fosters), Erin Moriarty (Red Widow), Ana Coto and Vivis Colombetti (Paranormal Activity 2) have signed on for the movie, directed by Stiles White.

The film centers on 'a group of teens playing with a Ouija board, making contact with an evil spirit, and desperately trying to close the door they've opened before meeting their own fate.'

Warner Bros' upcoming earthquake disaster flick SAN ANDREAS, starring Dwayne Johnson, will hit theaters on June 5, 2015, according to Deadline.

Starz announced today that the highly anticipated new pirate drama 'Black Sails' will premiere on STARZ on Saturday, January 25th at 9pm ET/PT. The eight-episode first season of the authentic pirate adventure centers on the tales of Captain Flint (Toby Stephens) and his men, and takes place twenty years prior to Robert Louis Stevenson's classic 'Treasure Island.'

On the heels of last week's announcement that Dwayne Johnson had signed on to lead MGM's SEAL TEAM 666, Variety reports that the Johnson has also boarded the film adaptation of Nick Schuyler's best-selling memoir NOT WITHOUT HOPE for Relativity.

SEAL TEAM 666 'follows an elite group of Navy Seals who battle demons and assorted threats and discover that there's a greater supernatural force bent on destroying the world.'

It was reported earlier today that director Michael Bay had been attcked on the set of his newest film TRANSFORMERS AGE OF EXTINCTION in Hong Kong.

JOURNEY 2: THE MYSTERIOUS ISLAND's Brad Peyton will direct for New Line. The film features an initial script from Andre Fabrizio and Jeremy Passmore, and a recent draft by Chad and Carey Hayes.
