Deadline reports that Matthew Settle (Gossip Girl) has signed on for Universal's horror film OUIJA. He will play 'Anthony Morris', the father of Laine Morris (Olivia Cooke). Filming began in LA this week.

Other recent additions to the cast are Bianca Santos (The Fosters), Erin Moriarty (Red Widow), Ana Coto and Vivis Colombetti (Paranormal Activity 2) will join previously announced cast members Olivia Cooke, Douglas Smith and Daren Kagasoff. Stiles White directs.

The film centers on "a group of teens playing with a Ouija board, making contact with an evil spirit, and desperately trying to close the door they've opened before meeting their own fate." Michael Bay is producing from a script co-written by Juliet Snowden and director Stiles White.

Settle has appeared in the TV series Gossip Girl, Brothers & Sisters, The Practice, ER, Band of Brothers and more. His recent film credits include So Undercover, Love Sick Love, ExTerminators, The Express, Beneath and more.
