Mad Cat Theatre Company returns to the South Beach Comedy Festival with 'Gerald Ford Superfreak', a new comedy from Miami's leading purveyor of progressive, avant-garde theatre, and co-written by Mat Cat's founder and mad genius Paul Tei and company members Jessica Farr and Theo Reyna. 'Gerald Ford Superfreak' explores the ripples of history, more specifically, how the effects of Gerald Ford's presidency carried over to our country's leadership in the year 2112 - as told by a surprise narrator from the future.

TNT & TBS Bringing FALLING SKIES, LEGELD, THE LAST SHIP & THE PETE HOLMES SHOW to SXSW

TNT and TBS are heading to SXSW, and they're bringing with them stars and producers of such series as TNT's Falling Skies and new dramas The Last Ship and Legends, as well as TBS's late-night series The Pete Holmes Show. On Monday, March 10, the networks will stage two panels during the annual music, film and interactive conference and festival held in Austin, Texas. That night, TNT will hold a special First Look Watch Party for The Last Ship, giving SXSW attendees the opportunity to catch the entire first episode of the action-packed series from executive producer Michael Bay (Transformers). Eric Dane (Grey's Anatomy), Rhona Mitra (Strike Back) and Adam Baldwin (Chuck, Firefly) are scheduled to appear at the Watch Party.

As they continue a successful and varied 25th anniversary season, Music Director and Conductor Michael Morgan and the Oakland East Bay Symphony present the latest world-wandering chapter in their innovative and popular series exploring symphonic music from various world cultures with Notes from India Friday, March 28, at 8 pm at the Paramount Theatre in Oakland. The program will include the world premiere of Where Shadow Chases Light, a new work by young Indian composer Juhi Bansal in her Oakland East Bay Symphony debut, commissioned as part of the Symphony's New Visions/New Vistas Commissioning Project, supported by a grant from The James Irvine Foundation. The evening will also feature sitar soloistStephen Slawek performing Ravi Shankar's Concert No. 1 for Sitar and Orchestra, excerpts from Philip Glass and Ravi Shankar's Passages and Beethoven's Symphony No. 7 in A Major, Op. 92.
