Due to popular demand, Playwrights Horizons (Tim Sanford, Artistic Director; Leslie Marcus, Managing Director) has announced a second extension of its critically-acclaimed World Premiere of THE GREAT GOD PAN, a new play by the heralded Obie Award-winning playwright Amy Herzog (After the Revolution at PH, 4000 Miles). Originally set to play a limited engagement through Sunday, December 30, the production originally extended to Sunday, January 6 and now extends to Sunday, January 13 at Playwrights Horizons' Mainstage Theater (416 West 42nd Street). This additional week represents the final extension possible for the production and includes a special Wednesday matinee on January 9 at 2:30 PM.

The New York Drama Critics' Circle met on May 7, 2012, at the offices of Time Out New York magazine, to determine the winners of its 77th annual awards. The overall results were Best Play: Sons of the Prophet (Stephen Karam), Best Foreign Play: Tribes (Nina Raine), Best Musical: Once (Enda Walsh, Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova) and Special Citations: Signature Theatre Company; Mike Nichols for his contribution to the theater.
