Broadway In Chicago has announced that Evil Dead - The Musical, winner of the 2007 Dora Audience Choice Award as Toronto's favorite show, unleashes its mayhem and fun on the Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place (175 E Chestnut) for a limited engagement from September 23 through October 12, 2014. Tickets will go on sale Tuesday, July 22 at 10 a.m.

The hilariously, bloody tradition continues this fall as Evil Dead: The Musical celebrates its fifth season performing at the City Theatre; presented by The Ringwald and Olympia Entertainment and locally sponsored by Genisys Credit Union. A pack of new local cast members will rise to bring the familiar tale to life with a four week engagement starting Wednesday, October 1 through Saturday, October 25 at the City Theatre.

It's back! Based on the 80s cult classic EVIL DEAD films, this show is hilariously campy and bursting with more farce than a Monty Python skit. Five college kids take a trip to a remote cabin in the woods and encounter everything from ancient evil spirits to revenge-seeking Candarian Demons. The Ringwald and Olympia Entertainment are thrilled to be bringing the hilariously, bloody Evil Dead: The Musical back to Detroit for its fourth annual engagement. In honor of the cult classic's Detroit world premiere in October 1981, the musical will perform a four week engagement starting tonight, October 2 through Saturday, October 26 at Detroit's City Theatre; located inside Hockeytown Cafe at 2301 Woodward Avenue.

As part of a Halloween double feature, The Country Playhouse presents Evil Dead: The Musical (book by George Reinblatt, music by Christopher Bond, Frank Cipolla, and Melissa Morris), for three weekends only, October 12 - 27, in the Black Box. Performances are on Fridays and Saturdays at 10:30 pm, with a Sunday matinee on October 21 at 7:30 pm, plus a weeknight show on Thursday, October 18, at 7:30 pm. Arvada Center Children's Theater Presents HOW I BECAME A PIRATE, Opening 10/18

On Oct 18, the Arvada Center opens the children's theater production How I Became a Pirate, book, music and lyrics by Janet Yates Vogt and Mark Friedman, directed by David and Julie Payne. The stage production is based on the book, How I Became a Pirate written by Melinda Long and illustrations by David Shannon. The show will run Oct 18 - Dec 28, 2012. Performances are 10 a.m. and noon, most Tuesdays through Fridays, select Saturdays at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. For specific show dates please check our website. How I Became a Pirate is recommended for ages four and up. Ticket prices range from $8 weekdays and $10 weekends and holidays for reserved seating.
