Evil Dead - The Musical, the winner of the 2007 Dora Audience Choice Award as Toronto's favorite show that has gone on to become an international hit, unleashes its mayhem and fun at Parker Playhouse from tonight, November 20 to Saturday, November 22.

The musical comedy sensation, based on the Evil Dead film franchise of Evil Dead, Evil Dead 2 and Army of Darkness, has enjoyed an immensely popular run with150 productions presented in cities around the world to sold-out houses and rave reviews from critics. This tour is produced by Starvox Entertainment in association with Jeffrey Latimer Entertainment.

Created by George Reinblatt, Frank Cipolla, Melissa Morris and Christopher Bond, Evil Dead - The Musical tells the outrageous story of five college friends spending the weekend in an abandoned cabin in the woods after accidentally unleashing an evil force that turns them all into demons.

In addition to some dismembered limbs, demons telling bad jokes, and catchy tunes ("Look Who's Evil Now" and "All the Men in My Life Keep Getting Killed by Candarian Demons"), the show features a saucy combination of wit and sexual innuendo that keeps audiences laughing out loud.

Those seated in the designated "Splatter Zone" seat locations will be splashed by stage "blood" and get increasingly drenched over the course of the performance. True fans of Evil Dead - The Musical "kill" to get those highly coveted up-close and seriously personal seats. During the original Toronto and Off-Broadway runs, the so-called "Dead-ites" would line up for hours for the privilege of getting doused with gore from all the onstage mayhem.

The production may be inappropriate for 12 and under as it contains strong language plus a hilarious amount of fake blood, and over-the-top guts and gore.

Evil Dead - The Musical launches the 2014-15 Off-Broadway Comedy Series of playful parodies, riotous satirical skits and ingenious improvisation. CYN Claim Your Nightlife Nightclub is a proud sponsor of the Off-Broadway series which continues with Stars of David (December 23 - January 4), The Second City Hits Home (January 23) and Potted Potter: The Unauthorized Harry Experience - A Parody by Dan and Jeff (January 27 - February 1).

Performances of Evil Dead - The Musical are Thursday and Friday at 8 p.m.; Saturday at 7 and 10:30 p.m. Tickets are $36.50 to $73.50.
