The Boston debut of ELF THE BROADWAY MUSICAL, the return of last season's holiday hit Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: The Musical, the Tony Award-winning musical ONCE,  the perennially popular RAIN: A TRIBUTE TO THE BEATLES; Ali MacGraw and Ryan O'Neal, stars of the 1970 classic romantic movie Love Story, reunited on stage in LOVE LETTERS, a new production of THE WIZARD OF OZ,  and the international Irish dance phenomenon RIVERDANCE - The 20th Anniversary World Tour  are coming in the 2015-16 season to the Citi Performing Arts Center.

710 Main Theatre presents the 2015 - 16 Frey Electric Construction Co. Season.  The exciting season features a diverse mix of programming including collaborations with two local theatre companies, two Off-Broadway productions and one show that ran on Broadway during the 2014-15 Season!  THREE OF THIS SEASON'S OFFERINGS WERE WRITTEN BY BUFFALO PLAYWRIGHTS:  Laura Pedersen "For Heaven's Sake!" with the story also set in Buffalo, and two plays by Buffalo's own A.R. Gurney:  "Sylvia" and "Love Letters." 

The 69th Annual TONY AWARDS, presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing, will take place on June 7 at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. With the recent confirmation that Mary-Louise Parker and Bruce Willis will announce the nominations for the awards on April 28, BroadwayWorld brings you a look back at the shows whose curtains have come down for a final time - though remain eligible to take home the top prizes on theatre's biggest night!

In a sure sign spring is near, The Bushnell announced today its 2015-2016 Broadway Series season. Beginning this fall, The Bushnell will bring seven popular titles to Hartford as part of the Series, along with an additional off-Series family favorite to round out a strong season lineup. Series titles are THE ILLUSIONISTS, a mind-blowing showcase of magic and illusion; family friendly smash hits Disney's NEWSIES and Rodgers + Hammerstein's CINDERELLA; LOVE LETTERS, starring Ali MacGraw and Ryan O'Neal; and crowd-pleasing sensations MOTOWN THE MUSICAL and DIRTY DANCING. The seventh title, a current Broadway hit, will be announced in May. The 2015-2016 Bushnell Broadway Series is co-sponsored by Farmington Bank and Travelers.

Sweet and heartbreaking, Love Letters is the story of a 50-year correspondence between Melissa Gardner and her childhood friend-turned-love-interest, Andrew Makepeace Ladd III. Gurney's play, a Pulitzer Prize finalist, has been performed in theatre spaces all over the world, from the New York Public Library to Broadway to Carnegie Hall and back again. A smash hit both off and on Broadway, this limited Valentine's engagement includes appearances by real couples of the Vancouver theatre scene. Andrew and Melissa's story will be told by a different couple every night, including: Meghan Gardiner & Todd Thomson and Mack & Kaitlin Williams Gordon, Genevieve Fleming & Sean Harris Oliver and Michael Fera & Tanja Dixon-Warren. Love Letters runs this week, February 11-14 at The Shop.
