Fringe First Award winning company Bear Trap Theatre are set to celebrate their eighth anniversary with a new play by Evening Standard Award nominated writer Jesse Briton. The World Premiere production of A Pupil will be performed at Park Theatre from 31st October - 24th November 2018.

New Village Arts has announced the San Diego premiere of MISS BENNET: CHRISTMAS AT PEMBERLEY for the holidays. MISS BENNET is written by Lauren Gunderson (the most-produced playwright in America in 2017) and Margot Melcon, and will be directed by NVA's Executive Artistic Director, Kristianne Kurner.

It will come as no surprise to theater fans in Connecticut that we have an embarrassment of riches in our state when it comes to our favorite past-time. From multiple touring houses to some of the finest professional theaters in the country to top-notch community theater companies - Connecticut has it all. But what often gets overlooked in the sea of theatrical choices are the top-rated college and university theater programs right in our own back yard. After years of ignorance (or simple lack of awareness), I witnessed, first hand, the amazing work being produced by the students at one of these schools, The Hartt School of the University of Hartford. This dedication to not only learning the craft, but delivering a powerful and thrilling performance was front and center in the school's most recent production of Neil Simon, Cy Coleman and Dorothy Fields' classic musical SWEET CHARITY, which ran for just four (too) short days October 18 - 21st.

Today, the Long Island Music Hall of Fame (LIMHoF) has announced some of the very special presenters who will help induct the 2018 class during a red-carpet gala and ceremony taking place November 8, 2018 at The Space at Westbury (250 Post Avenue, Westbury, New York). Presenters this year include six-time Grammy Award winner Billy Joel, VP of Columbia Records and the man who signed Michael Jackson - Ron Alexenburg, Senior Director of Music Programming at SIRIUSXM - Lou Simon, The Cowsills, Chuck D & DJ Chuck Chillout, Jackie (Jokeman) Martling, and Live Nation Promoter Christian McKnight, with more to be confirmed.

The five night binge-a-thon begins on Thursday, October 25th at 10 PM ET/PT. A reimagining of the 1988 cult-classic film, Paramount Network will air two episodes a night, from October 25th to October 29th.

Producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, EON Productions today announced they have hired film, television, and theater producer, Patrick Daly, as Overseeing Consultant, in charge of production and development across all theatrical projects. Independent of his work with EON Productions, Daly will continue to run the company he launched last year, Caledonia Productions, in producing and developing its own upcoming slate of stage and screen projects.

Village Theatre is elated to bring Roald Dahl's magical misfit Matilda to the stage in the hit musical that swept up five Tony Awards, seven Olivier Awards, and was named TIME's #1 Show of the Year in 2013. The production features an incredible cast of 15 local youth who have been training for their roles in music, acting, and CrossFit since June. They will be joined by some of the Puget Sound's best performers.

New York City Center today announced casting for the Annual Gala. The 75th Anniversary gala presentation will feature A Chorus Line.

La Llorona.  The Weeping Woman.  A horrifying apparition, caught between Heaven and Hell, trapped in a terrible fate sealed by her own hand.  The mere mention of her name has struck terror around the world for generations.  In life, she drowned her children in a jealous rage, throwing herself in the churning river after them as she wept in pain.  Now her tears are eternal.  They are lethal, and those who hear her death call in the night are doomed.  La Llorona creeps in the shadows and preys on the children, desperate to replace her own.  As the centuries have passed, her desire has grown more voracious…and her methods more terrifying.
