Video: Meet the Jimmys-Bound Winners of the 2026 Roger Rees Awards
Emersyn Hunt and Jacob Solomon will represent the Greater New York region at The Jimmy Awards on June 22, 2026.
Earlier this month, Emersyn Hunt and Jacob Solomon were named the winners of Outstanding Performance in a Musical at the Roger Rees Awards, both moving forward to represent the Greater New York region at the 17th Annual Jimmy Awards.
Hunt (who also won the fifth season of BroadwayWorld's Next on Stage in 2025) won for her performance of Beverley Bass in Come From Away at Professional Performing Arts School, Solomon, for his performance of Nick Bottom in Something Rotten at Hauppauge High School.
This year’s nominees represented 104 high schools located across 13 counties throughout the Greater New York area including the Bronx, Dutchess, Kings (Brooklyn), Nassau, New York (Manhattan), Orange, Putnam, Queens, Rockland, Suffolk, Ulster and Westchester.
