Now audiences across the country will have the opportunity to enjoy the timeless tale set to Tschaikovsky's memorable music when it comes to movie screens nationwide for two screenings: Today, December 5 at 12:55 pm and Thursday, December 10 at 7:00 pm, as a presentation of Lincoln Center at the Movies: Great American Dance. Now audiences across the country will have the opportunity to enjoy the timeless tale set to Tschaikovsky's memorable music when it comes to movie screens nationwide for two screenings: Saturday, December 5 at 12:55 pm and Thursday, December 10 at 7:00 pm, as a presentation of Lincoln Center at the Movies: Great American Dance. Featured in the cast are ON THE TOWN star Megan Fairchild as the Sugarplum Fairy, with Joaquin De Luz as Her Cavalier and Ashley Bouder as Dewdrop.

The program will run on the following five Monday evenings at 6:30PM-8:00PM: November 16th, 2015, December 14th, 2015, February 8th, 2016, April 4th, 2016, and June 6th, 2016. Space is limited. Career Transition For Dancers just held its 30TH ANNIVERSARY PEARL JUBILEE: A STAR-STUDDED RETROSPECTIVE last night, September 28, in association with the Lloyd E. Rigler - Lawrence E. Deutsch Foundation, at New York City Center, 131 West 55 Street (btwn. 6 & 7 Aves) NYC followed by 'Supper With The Stars' in the Grand Ballroom at the Hilton New York.

Lincoln Center at the Movies, the new cinema series recently announced by Lincoln Center in partnership with Fathom Events, will open in fall 2015 with Great American Dance presenting performances by four of America's leading companies: Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Ballet Hispanico, New York City Ballet, and San Francisco Ballet. Each event will be shown in select cinemas nationwide at nearly 400 locations.

The Tony Award nominated revival of On The Town concludes its run on Broadway tonight, September 6, following 28 previews and 368 regular performances, making this the longest-running Broadway production of the show since the 1944 original. ON THE TOWN began previews on September 20, 2014 and officially opened on October 16, 2014 at the Lyric Theatre. To mark tonight's closing, BroadwayWorld takes you back through the musical's run on the Great White Way!

Original cast member Megan Fairchild will return to the acclaimed Broadway revival of On The Town for one final turn as Ivy Smith on Sunday night. Misty Copeland will perform the Sunday matinee.

Beginning last night, August 25, American Ballet Theatre principal dancer Misty Copeland made her Broadway debut as 'Ivy Smith' in the Tony Award nominated revival of On The Town, continuing in the role through the end of the musical's run on September 6.

Now, New York City Ballet soloist Georgina Pazcoguin steps into the role of 'Ivy Smith' for performances from tonight, August 11, through August 23. Beginning August 25, Misty Copeland will make her Broadway debut in the role for 12 performances only, through September 6.

Fairchild will be succeeded by New York City Ballet soloist Georgina Pazcoguin, who will step into the role of 'Ivy Smith' for performances from August 11 - 23. Just yesterday, Tony Yazbeck was honored at the legendary Sardi's Restaurant with his very own portrait.Yazbeck earned 2015 Tony Award, Drama League Award and Outer Critics Circle Award nominations as well as the 2015 Astaire Award, for his portrayal of 'Gabey' in the hit Broadway revival of ON THE TOWN. His other Broadway credits include Chicago (Billy Flynn), Irving Berlin's White Christmas (Phil Davis), Gypsywith Patti LuPone (Tulsa, Outer Critics Circle nom.), A Chorus Line (Al), Oklahoma!, Never Gonna Dance, and Gypsy with Tyne Daly.
