MasterVoices has announced details of the chorus’ 81st season, celebrating the power of the human voice to unite, inspire and connect since 1941. The 2022-23 season opens on October 25 at the Rose Theater at Jazz at Lincoln Center with Mr. Sperling leading a concert staging of Bizet’s Carmen in its original Opéra Comique version.

The film features the voices of Chris Evans as Space Ranger Buzz Lightyear, Uzo Aduba as his commander and best friend Alisha Hawthorne and Peter Sohn as Sox. Keke Palmer, Taika Waititi and Dale Soules lend their voices to the Junior Zap Patrol’s Izzy Hawthorne, Mo Morrison and Darby Steel, respectively, and James Brolin can be heard as Zurg.

TheatreWorks Silicon Valley announced its 52nd season, featuring six plays and musicals to be presented November 2022 through August 2023. Three of the season's productions will be mounted at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts, and three will be staged at Palo Alto's Lucie Stern Theatre. This September, The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts celebrates its namesake with two projects: the opening of Art and Ideals: President John F. Kennedy—a new permanent exhibit exploring Kennedy's presidency and commitment to the arts—and a reprise of Bernstein's MASS, which premiered at the Center's opening exactly 51 years earlier. Williamstown Theatre Festival is celebrating tonight’s first performance of Most Happy in Concert, Tony Award-nominated director Daniel Fish’s reimagining of Frank Loesser’s critically adored score to the musical The Most Happy Fella, choreographed by Jawole Willa Jo Zollar, playing through Sunday, July 31 on the Main Stage.

Even though the Batesville Community Theatre has been around for 50 years, this was my first time visiting this troupe, who recently moved into a new facility at 1295 E Main Street, in Batesville. To christen the new building, BCT is performing THE STAR-SPANGLED GIRL by Neil Simon through Sunday, July 10.
