George Street Playhouse presents Curvy Widow, starring Broadway's Nancy Opel (GSP's The Toxic Avenger, Broadway's Honeymoon in Vegas). The sassy musical comedy will not only close out GSP's 2016-17 season, but also mark the final show performed in The Playhouse's current building. The Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival (HVSF) has announced its Week of Revolution, honoring the Hudson Valley's significant local history and in celebration of HVSF's production of THE GENERAL FROM AMERICA, a play written by Richard Nelson and presented in association with Boscobel House and Gardens.

Ring Twice for Miranda, the new play written by Alan Hruska (Laugh It Up, Stare It Down; The Man on Her Mind; New House under Construction) and directed by Rick Lombardo (San Jose Rep Artistic Director from 2008-2014, The Snow Queen, Bill W. and Dr. Bob) will end its limited run at New York City Center Stage II (131 West 55th Street between 6th and 7th Avenues) on Sunday, April 16th.

And when that person has the innate ability to open eyes, shift perspectives, and change the course of someone's life, it makes their absence (and their influence) that much more profound. This is the impact of 14-year-old Leonard Pelkey as told in Hartford Stage's latest production, THE ABSOLUTE BRIGHTNESS OF LEONARD PELKEY.

After a critically-acclaimed sell-out run in New York City, playwright,  performer and activist James Lecesne will bring his inspirational solo show, The Absolute Brightness of Leonard Pelkey, to Hartford Stage from Thursday, March 30, through Sunday, April 23.  The play deftly navigates the effects of bullying and the search for identity while telling an uplifting story about love, overcoming prejudices, and being true to one's self.

Due to the inclement weather, tonight's performance of Ring Twice for Miranda, previously scheduled for Tuesday, March 14 at 7:30 p.m., at New York City Center Stage II, has been cancelled. Performances are expected to resume on Wednesday, March 15 at 2:30 p.m.
