Romeo and Juliet, William Shakespeare's classic love story, with a cast of 20, period costuming, sword fights, and scenic design by a Tony Award winner, will be directed by Playhouse Artistic Director Mark Lamos at Westport Country Playhouse, from October 31 through November 19. This is the first time the beloved play has been produced in the history of the Playhouse's 87 seasons.

Curvy Widow, the new musical comedy with a book by Bobby Goldman, music and lyrics by Drew Brody (Broadway: Oh Hello; Cutman), and directed by Peter Flynn (Rhapsody in Seth; Two Rooms), is currently playing at the Westside Theatre and has announced that beginning October 2, 2017, their schedule will change to include a Thursday matinee.

George Street Playhouse presents Curvy Widow, starring Broadway's Nancy Opel (GSP's The Toxic Avenger, Broadway's Honeymoon in Vegas). The sassy musical comedy will not only close out GSP's 2016-17 season, but also mark the final show performed in The Playhouse's current building. Ring Twice for Miranda, the new play written by Alan Hruska (Laugh It Up, Stare It Down; The Man on Her Mind; New House under Construction) and directed by Rick Lombardo (San Jose Rep Artistic Director from 2008-2014, The Snow Queen, Bill W. and Dr. Bob) will end its limited run at New York City Center Stage II (131 West 55th Street between 6th and 7th Avenues) on Sunday, April 16th.

And when that person has the innate ability to open eyes, shift perspectives, and change the course of someone's life, it makes their absence (and their influence) that much more profound. This is the impact of 14-year-old Leonard Pelkey as told in Hartford Stage's latest production, THE ABSOLUTE BRIGHTNESS OF LEONARD PELKEY.

After a critically-acclaimed sell-out run in New York City, playwright,  performer and activist James Lecesne will bring his inspirational solo show, The Absolute Brightness of Leonard Pelkey, to Hartford Stage from Thursday, March 30, through Sunday, April 23.  The play deftly navigates the effects of bullying and the search for identity while telling an uplifting story about love, overcoming prejudices, and being true to one's self.

Due to the inclement weather, tonight's performance of Ring Twice for Miranda, previously scheduled for Tuesday, March 14 at 7:30 p.m., at New York City Center Stage II, has been cancelled. Performances are expected to resume on Wednesday, March 15 at 2:30 p.m.
