Following the critical acclaim and record-breaking attendance of Festival 2014, Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival opens its 2015 season in June.

May 26, 2015 - (Becket, MA) Following the critical acclaim and record-breaking attendance of Festival 2014, Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival opens its 2015 season in June. Highlights of Festival 2015 include Three Acts, Two Dancers, One Radio Host, a special dance and radio stage production starring Ira Glass, host of This American Life; the return of Nederlands Dans Theater 2; the world premiere of American Ballet Theatre principal dancer Daniil Simkin's INTENSIO; Cuban contemporary ensemble Malpaso Dance Company, performing with GRAMMY Award-winning pianist and composer Arturo O'Farrill and the Afro Latin Jazz Ensemble; and the launch of Martha Graham Dance Company's 90th Anniversary, including a world premiere by eminent choreographer Mats Ek. 

Ballet Academy East will present its Spring Performance this weekend, May 15-17, 2015 at the Gerald W. Lynch Theater at the John Jay College of Criminal Justice at 524 W. 59th Street, NYC.

On May 25th 2015, opening night of Ballet West's debut season at the Joyce, three New York premieres and a world premiere showcased the company's admirable command of contemporary ballet. The world-renowned troupe from Salt Lake City does have the classics in its repertoire, but the decision by Artistic Director Adam Sklute to bring his superb dancers to NYC in pieces by four celebrated if sometimes controversial current choreographers was a wise one.

Ballet West closes its' 50th anniversary season with their annual production of Innovations, a program thought up by Artistic Director Adam Sklute 7 years ago. Innovations is a concept that allows choreographers to try out new material and give all the artists of Ballet West an opportunity to create and experiment with new works.

Continuing its commitment to promoting growth and innovation in Philadelphia's cultural community, the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation tonight awarded $780,000 to 19 Philadelphia artists and arts groups.

This August, The Joyce Theater will present Ballet v6.0, a remarkable festival designed to recognize dancers and choreographers who are creating work outside the traditional large company setting and are forming their own small companies. From August 6 - 17, some of the country's most exciting young dance companies whose works represents a range of ballet styles from neo classical to contemporary, will be presented as part of this festival at The Joyce. They are BalletX, Dominic Walsh Dance Theater, Company C Contemporary Ballet, Whim W'Him, BalletCollective and Jessica Lang Dance. To celebrate the 25th anniversary of Timberlake Wertenbaker's Olivier Award-winning play, Our Country's Good, Out of Joint will present a series of staged readings of Timberlake's work. This will include the acclaimed play Three Birds Alighting on a Field, which will be directed by Max Stafford-Clark, and The Grace of Mary Traverse directed by Blanche McIntyre. Out of Joint will also present the world premiere of Timberlake's new play - Jefferson's Garden.

The Joyce Theater announced the programming for its 2013 Spring/Summer Season featuring extraordinary international companies, including two festivals, one focusing on Nordic dance and the other on American ballet choreographers.
