Columbus' flagship performing arts organizations will reunite for Twisted 2, the highly anticipated sequel to 2014's smash hit, Twisted.

Shakespeare's Globe has announced full casting for Matthew Dunster's production of IMOGEN. Award-winning actor Maddy Hill, in the lead role of Imogen, is best known for the recurring role of Nancy Carter in EastEnders (BBC), for which she won Best Newcomer at the National Television Awards in 2015, and Best Newcomer in the British Soap Awards 2014, as well as being nominated for Best Newcomer at the TV Choice Awards 2014. Maddy will be joined by Jonathan McGuinness as Cymbeline, Ira Mandela Siobhan as Posthumus and Matthew Needham as Iachimo. Running from 17 September, Imogen is Shakespeare's Cymbeline renamed and reclaimed.

Closing out its robust and diverse 2015-2016 season of dance, The Joyce Theater Foundation (Linda Shelton, Executive Director) proudly presents BalletX, Philadelphia's premier contemporary ballet company, featuring a program of three NYC premieres from August 16 - 21.

Works & Process at the Guggenheim is pleased to announce its fall 2016 season. Since 1984 the performing-arts series has championed new works and offered audiences unprecedented access to leading creators and performers. Each intimate program blends performance with stimulating conversation with the creators, and takes place in the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum's Frank Lloyd Wright-designed, 285-seat Peter B. Lewis Theater. Described by the New York Times as 'an exceptional opportunity to understand something of the creative process,' Works & Process is produced by founder Mary Sharp Cronson. ZviDance returns to Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival with their newest collaborative work Escher/Bacon/Rothko on the Doris Duke Theatre stage, July 20-24. In this riveting mixed-medium choreographic endeavor, Artistic Director Zvi Gotheiner and the company members of ZviDance draw inspiration from distinguished visual artists of the 20th century to question notions of modernity.  Escher/Bacon/Rothko provides an intelligent visual experience for audiences as it seamlessly transforms one-dimensional artwork into a three-dimensional performance.

Sitting through BalletX's 10th anniversary season performance at Philadelphia's Wilma Theater on July 6, 2016, I was struck with some deep pangs of disappointment. It wasn't that the new works presented that evening were bad, quite the contrary. But how does one say that something more was expected, especially when reviewing a new Matthew Neenan production?

First things first. I'm not going to talk about the Pennsylvania Ballet and the company's negative press that's been besieging the dance world for the past few weeks. Any questions write or call Angel Corella, the Artistic Director. Let it come from him, not me.

Pennsylvania Ballet returned to New York City for a run at the Joyce from March 29th to April 3rd 2016, the first time the company has been here since Angel Corella took on the role of Artistic Director 18 months ago. Corella, the former American Ballet Theatre Principal who won our hearts with his boyish charm and boundless energy, turns out to be well suited to his second act as a director. Wisely, he eschewed the classics and brought three intimate and innovative contemporary pieces that were perfectly suited to the up-close-and-personal Joyce venue as well as to discerning NYC dancegoers. As Corella himself put it in an endearing program note, 'I know that New York audiences are very smart and know good work and good dancing when they see it, which is why I know you are going to love this program.'

Following performances at the Barbican, and in China in Beijing, Shanghai, and Hong Kong, the plays are directed by RSC Artistic Director Gregory Doran and performed in repertory at the BAM Harvey Theater from tonight, Mar 24, through May 1, 2016.

Former Executive and Artistic Director Ella Baff stepped down from her role in September of 2015, following a successful 17-year tenure.

As RSC Executive Director, Catherine Mallyon joins Chancellor George Osborne on his visit to China and the Company opens Gregory Doran's production of Henry V in Stratford-upon-Avon, the RSC is delighted to announce the details for its programme of international cultural, artistic and educational exchange with China.

Gregory Doran, RSC Artistic Director, continues his exploration through Shakespeare's History plays as he directs Henry V, opening in Stratford-upon-Avon, before being broadcast to cinemas and transferring to the Barbican in London.
