The University of Hawai'i at Mānoa's and Kennedy Theatre Present KALEIDOSCOPE/WINTER FOOTHOLDS

The University of Hawai'i at Mānoa's Department of Theatre and Dance and Kennedy Theatre are proud to present Winter Footholds: Kaleidoscope, a dance concert featuring undergraduate and graduate student choreography and performance, directed by Assistant Professor of Dance Peiling Kao. Kaleidoscope is a collection of eleven dances, among them a thesis work choreographed by Master of Fine Arts in Dance candidate Sophia Carter. Performances will take place February 26, 27, 28, 29, at 7:30 p.m., and March 1 at 2:00 p.m. in the Earle Ernst Lab Theatre. A post-show rap will follow the Friday, February 28 performance. Tickets are $8-$18.

As the starring act of a 1930's Side Show, helmed by an abusive ringmaster, conjoined twins Daisy and Violet Hilton are eager to accept an offer of fame, fortune, and potential romance proffered by Terry, a talent scout, and Buddy, a budding entertainer. As stars of the Orpheum Circuit, it seems that Daisy and Violet have everything they ever wanted. The one thing they lack, however, is the fulfillment of their hearts' desires.

It's The Bard meets 'Jersey Shore' this May as The Players Guild of Leonia presents Shakespeare's classic comedy of mistaken identity, THE COMEDY OF ERRORS. Freely adapted and staged by director Ray Yucis, the play centers on the comic misadventures of two sets of identical twins, separated in infancy, who find themselves in the same beachfront town on the same day. As the saying goes: 'Mayhem ensues.' Filled with Shakespeare's traditional comic blend of slapstick, clever wordplay, eccentric characters and romance, COMEDY OF ERRORS is the perfect show for the 'Shakespeare-phobic' or for those encountering The Bard for the very first time.

The Players Guild of Leonia has announced their production The Comedy of Errors by William Shakespeare at The Players Guild of Leonia Civil War Drill Hall Theater, 130 Grand Avenue, Leonia, NJ. on May 4th through May 20th. The show is directed by Ray Yucis with Assistant Director Linda Taub.

Choreography by Tabitha Boulding. This Tony award winner for best musical ran on Broadway for 18 years - the second longest running show on Broadway. Through song and dance, CATS tells the colored and varied stories about felines making their home in an old abandoned junkyard.
