While the doors to the Balzer Theater at Herren's are blocked by construction vehicles for the “Heart of the City” Capital Campaign renovation, Theatrical Outfit (TO) is putting new work center stage with Made in Atlanta. 

Theatrical Outfit has announced that after a nation-wide search, Vanya Foote has been named the new Managing Director at the company. Working in partnership with Artistic Director Matt Torney, Foote will lead TO as it continues to grow its mission of starting the conversations that matter in the heart of Downtown Atlanta – fueled by Mainstage Productions, the new works program Made In Atlanta, and ever expanding community outreach.

Theatrical Outfit will launch its 22-23 Season with the Co-World Premiere of Candrice Jones' FLEX – a high adrenaline new play. Set in the 90s, but speaking to TODAY, FLEX will take ATL by storm as tells a story of the South like you have never seen before & explores the joy and challenge of teenage life.

Beginning on June 9, and running through July 3, 2022, Theater J brings Fires in the Mirror: Crown Heights, Brooklyn and Other Identities to the stage. Theatrical Outfit’s production of Ken Ludwig’s BASKERVILLE: A SHERLOCK HOLMES MYSTERY (directed by Shannon Eubanks) is a fast-pace and humorous play that takes audiences from England’s Baker Street to the haunted Dartmoor.

Theatrical Outfit has announced “The Heart of the City Campaign” – an investment in facilities, programming and endowment. Originally launched in December 2019, the campaign set out to fund an HVAC overhaul and reworking of the lobby to create cleaner air and more space for its patrons and more.
