Loading Dock Theatre presents The Twelfth Labor, a world premiere epic family drama by Leegrid Stevens. Matt Torney directs a cast of eleven, including Cynthia Babak*, Amy Bizjak*, Jed Dickson*, Jonathan Draxton, Dennis Gagomiros*, Shelby Hightower, Michael Huston*, Tanis LePore, Lynne McCollough*, Erin Treadway, and Brian White. Performances will be staged at The Gene Frankel Theatre, 24 Bond Street, New York, NY 10012 from September 19-October 11, 2014.

When Artistic & Executive Director Alan Stanford was planning the 2014 PICT season, Managing Director Stephanie Riso suggested the addition of the Beckett classic Waiting for Godot. She knew Alan had a special relationship with this particular work of Beckett, having portrayed Pozzo for the Gate Theatre Dublin's touring production for more than twenty years.

Jim Norton (currently in 'Of Mice and Men'), and Gillian Hanna and Conor MacNeill (both currently in the 'The Cripple of Inishmaan') are taking part in a reading of Irish playwright Jim Nolan's 'Brighton' on Monday May 12 at 7pm. A popular voice in Ireland, Nolan will be in New York for the event, which is presented by Origin Theatre Company as part of its 10th annual Mondays of May play reading series.

PICT Theatre's final production of the season is the Pittsburgh premiere of Paul Giovanni's The Crucifer of Blood, a Sherlock Holmes adventure featuring characters created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Matt Torney directs. David Whalen returns to reprise the role of Sherlock Holmes since his 2011 turn as the master detective. Also returning from the 2011 production is Daryll Heysham as Inspector Lestrade. Justin R. G. Holcomb makes his PICT debut as Dr. Watson.
Origin's US Premiere of STOP THE TEMPO Opens 6/2

Origin Theatre Company, artistic director George C. Heslin, presents the US premiere of "Stop the Tempo" by Romanian playwright Gianina Carbinariu, in a theatrically explosive site-specific staging at Arlene's Grocery, 95 Stanton Street, beginning Sunday May 26 at 4pm. Directed by Matt Torney, whose New York credits include shows at HERE, and at 59E59, "Stop the Tempo" plays a limited 4-week engagement through Tuesday June 18. The opening is set for Sunday June 2 at 7pm.

COLUMBIA STAGES, the award-winning producing arm of Columbia University's Graduate Theatre Program, announces its 2008-2009 season. The highly political season will include Baal and The Threepenny Opera by Bertolt Brecht; Euripides' Medea; Big Love by Charles L. Mee; The Woman by Edward Bond; a co-production with Origin Theatre Company; a new adaptation of Geoffrey Chaucer's The Canterbury Tales and the 5th annual New Voices New Play Festival. The 2008-2009 season begins October 22nd at The Riverside Theatre, 91 Claremont Avenue between 120th and 122nd Streets.
