Because Britney Spears grew up in the spotlight, we've seen her as a singer, an actress, a girl, a woman, and everything in between. One thing we haven't seen is Britney the Broadway star, but since that seems about as likely as the second coming of Britney and Justin, it's a damn good thing BROADWAY LOVES BRITNEY exists.
On November 16, a group of Broadway performers came together at Feinstein's/54 Below for exactly what the name suggests---a deep dive into Britney's oeuvre---and, as far as Britney homages go, the show hit all quadrants, running the gamut from playful impersonations to cleverly reworked gems.
The Broadway Loves series made its eagerly-anticipated return to Feinstein's/54 Below this month with Broadway Loves Britney, a sleek evening of song and dance paying tribute to the princess of pop, Grammy award-winner Britney Spears.
Over the weekend, Broadway For Hillary held 'Broadway Calls for Clinton,' the organization's first action day of phone banking for the Clinton campaign. Broadway's brightest came together for this volunteer organized event for a day of voter outreach in support of Hillary Clinton, the Democratic nominee for president, and BroadwayWorld has photos below!

A musical journey of survival New York: DEEP Arts in association with The New York Musical Theatre Festival presents the NY Premiere of Moses Man with book & lyrics by Deborah Haber and music by Casey Filiaci, directed by Michael Bush. The show will be feature choreography by Wendy Seyb with musical direction by Don Kot. Moses Man will play from July 8-13, 2015 at the Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street).
BROADWAY SESSIONS is described as an evening of musical performances, games and open mic featuring a new Broadway guest each week. The show is created and hosted by Ben Cameron (Bway Wicked, Aida and Footloose) and features musical director Joshua Stephen Kartes on piano. This Thursday, May 8th, Broadway Sessions welcomes the graduating Musical theater class from Boston Conservatory along with special guest BoCo alums and guest hosts Nikka Graff Lanzarone and Kendal Hartse.
