Michael Rader, Producing Artistic Director of The Cape Playhouse, today announced the creative teams for the 2019 summer season. The six-play season features three plays and three musicals- and includes directors Hunter Foster, Marcia Milgrom Dodge, Matt Lenz, Joyce Chittick and more.

The latest touring production enchanting audiences at the Landmark Theatre in Syracuse, New York is none other than Rodgers and Hammerstein's Tony Award-winning 1959 musical The Sound of Music. Founder and Executive Artistic Director Benjamin Taylor Davis announces today that submissions for the Fourth Annual Atlanta Musical Theatre Festival (AMTF), to be held in the summer in Atlanta, are officially open. According to NewsOK, actors from the new national touring production of The Sound of Music will make a special stop in Oklahoma City Thursday morning to perform songs from the musical Oklahoma! at the Oklahoma History Center. The performance will take place in the history center's Samuel Roberts Noble Foundation Gallery, where the exhibit "Rodgers & Hammerstein's 'Oklahoma!': The Birth of Modern Musical Theatre and a New Image for the State" is currently being presented.
