Reviewing the revered LES MISERABLES is always a mixed bag. The show, running Jan. 27–Feb. 1 at the Ohio Theatre (39 E. State Street, downtown Columbus), is a towering piece of musical theater history. Windy City Playhouse today announced that the theater's smash hit "Southern Gothic," the recipient of six Jeff Award nominations, will be moving to a new satellite performance space in the South Loop's Motor Row for an open-ended run with shows beginning January 2, 2019, running simultaneously with the Playhouse's production of the comedic classic "Noises Off" at the theater's Irving Park location. The festival will feature plays by new and notable playwrights, including Kristina Poe, a longtime member of LAByrinth Theater Company, James Harmon Brown, best known for his work on All My Children, and Jack Karp, a member of Nylon Fusion and winner of the David Mamet Playwriting Competition, whose recent play Incendiary Agents, presented at The New Ohio, performed to sold-out houses.
