Pear Theatre Opens Season with NORTHANGER ABBEY

Pear Theatre's 2018-19 season opens in August with "Northanger Abbey," adapted by Pear founder Diane Tasca from the novel by Jane Austen. Pear Theatre's production of "Northanger Abbey," directed by Troy Johnson, previews on August 30, with press and Opening Night on Friday, August 31, followed by a champagne gala.

Tony Lucca Announces Fall Tour + New Single NASHVILLE Out this August

Nashville-based singer-songwriter Tony Lucca is set to hit the road beginning in October for a tour run with Tom Mackell that will visit the East Coast, Northeast, and Midwest for 17 dates (see below for complete tour schedule).  Lucca's dates will be in support of his new standalone single, “Nashville,” which will be available for purchase on August 31, 2018 and is being released via AWAL/Kobalt.  

Pop-Rock Singer/Songwriter JD Eicher to Release New Music this August

JD Eicher, the Youngstown, Ohio-born and bred pop-rock musician/singer/songwriter, is set to release a new single, “Ain't My Scene,” on August 3, 2018 via AWAL/Kobalt. The track, which will be available through digital sales portals as well as Spotify, is the first single from a four-song EP from Eicher that will be released in early 2019 (details coming soon). Eicher paired up with producer Bill Lefler (Ingrid Michaelson, Dashboard Confessional, Joshua Radin) for this outing, after self-producing his most recent releases in his home studio. Following long-distance pre-production, Eicher traveled to Los Angeles to record with Lefler in the spring of 2018, where the four tracks for the EP, including “Ain't My Scene,” were laid down.

The Musical CHESS Opens This July At Lakewood Theatre Compan

Lakewood Theatre Company opens its 66th season with international intrigue, super-power politics and romance in the musical rock opera Chess. The show begins July 6 and continuing through August 12, 2018 on the Headlee Mainstage at Lakewood Center for the Arts, 368 S. State Street in Lake Oswego.

Now in its fifteenth year, Pear Slices presents fifteen-minute vignettes: a stunning variety of stories, settings, and plot twists occupy the Pear Theatre stage, penned by local playwrights and brought to life with a single cast of highly versatile, local actors. "Pear Slices 2018," directed by Robyn Ginsburg Braverman and Troy Johnson, previews on May 3, with press and Opening Night on Friday, May 4, followed by a champagne gala. The show runs Thursdays through Sundays through May 20. All performances are held at the Pear Theatre, 1110 La Avenida St., Mountain View. Ray Renati, originally scheduled to direct Pear Theatre's upcoming production of 'An Enemy of the People,' has withdrawn due to medical issues. The production, which opens October 20, will now be directed by Artistic Director Betsy Kruse Craig, using Renati's cast.

AN ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE Comes to Pear Theatre, 10/ 20

Pear Theatre examines the clashes and conflicts of society and politics with Henrik Ibsen's "An Enemy of the People," adapted by Rebecca Lenkiewicz. When a town's economic future is at stake, its leader would rather vilify a good man and risk harm to its own citizens than do the right thing. "An Enemy of the People" is directed by Ray Renati, and previews on October 19. Press and Opening Night is Friday, October 20, followed by a champagne gala. The show runs Thursdays through Sundays, through November 12. All performances are held at the Pear Theatre, 1110 La Avenida St., Mountain View.
