Bringing a new version of her hit show LEGACY to the States, Maria Friedman will play Stamford Connecticut in a gala performance for the Orchestra Lumos.

The Broadway at Birdland concert series welcomed the return of singer/actress Christina Bianco on Monday, April 3. Christina returned to the historic stage with her all new show, "Me, Myself & Everyone Else," with musical direction by Brian Nash, and a band that included Mary Ann McSweeney, Chris Biesterfeldt, and Joe Choroszewski. On Monday, May 14, the Broadway at Birdland concert series was thrilled to present Telly Leung, one of the stars of Godspell, in 'Playlist.' The show, directed by Alan Muraoka with musical direction by Gary Adler, celebrated Telly's own playlist of favorite songs that have inspired him through the years. The band included Michael Croiter on drums and Mary Ann McSweeney on bass.

On Monday, March 26, the Broadway at Birdland concert series was proud to present jazz vocalist Jane Monheit in 'Jane Monheit Swings Cole Porter's Anything Goes.' The evening was the creation of arranger/bass player MaryAnn McSweeney, who also brought the wildly popular 'Avenue Q Swings' to the Birdland stage several years ago.

Jazz artist Jane Stuart will celebrate the release of her new CD, Don't Look Back, with two special concert performances at Miles Café on March 3rd at 7:30pm and 9:30pm. Stuart will perform with her trio consisting of Rave Tesar (piano), MaryAnn McSweeney (bass) and Rick De Kovessey (drums).
