Storytelling Indiana of Indiana and Indiana Landmarks celebrate a physical gem of the southeastern region of the state, The Shrewsbury-Windle House, in Madison, Indiana.

The world premiere of Frankenstein - Written over 200 years ago, Mary Shelley's Gothic masterpiece retains all of its power to horrify and fascinate. This original L.A. Theatre Works commission is adapted from Shelley's novel by the BBC's Kate McAll, who wowed audiences with last season's A Room with a View, and stars celebrated actor Stacy Keach in the role of 'The Creature.'

English National Ballet will make its return to The Bristol Hippodrome this year with Creature by Akram Khan.

The Obscura Factory will present AMP: The Electrifying Story of Mary Shelley, AMP is a gothic solo retelling of the creation of Frankenstein, written and performed by Jody Christopherson (St Kilda) and directed by Isaac Byrne (The Other Mozart) at HERE (145 Avenue of the Americas, entrance on Dominick Street, one block south of Spring Street), February 18th-22nd. When the perils of the playground combine with the creatures of the Gothic and the humor of a good laugh shared among friends, the new musical FRANK-N-FRIEND comes to life, making its world premiere at Casa Mañana.

Rose Theatre has announced casting for The Creature: [Frankenstein Retold] based on Frankenstein by Mary Shelley, and adapted for the stage by Ciaran McConville. The production, directed by Lucy Morrell, opens on 28 February and runs until 29 February, with previews from 27 February.

W.I. Productions will present The Sickness, a new play written and directed by Emil Varda. The Sickness plays a limited four-week engagement, February 7 - 29 at Access Theatre (380 Broadway, at the corner of White Street, NYC). The official opening is Thursday, February 13 at 8PM. FRANKENSTEIN, the Off-Broadway musical at St. Luke's Theatre which opened in October 2017, has been extended again as an open run, with tickets through April 28 on sale now. Frankenstein plays Tuesdays at 7 PM at St. Luke's Theatre. Based on Mary Shelley's novel, with book, music and lyrics by Eric B. Sirota, FRANKENSTEIN is directed by Clint Hromsco and produced by John Lant, Write Act Repertory and Tamra Pica.

Mat Diafos Sweeney is the recipient of the 2020 Dorothy and Richard E. Sherwood Award announced at the 2020 Ovation Awards on Monday January 13, 2020. Given in memory of Dorothy and Richard E. Sherwood, the $10,000 award aims to cultivate innovative theatre artists working in Los Angeles who push formal and aesthetic boundaries and demonstrate dedication to improving their respective artistic fields. The two additional finalists, Sigrid Gilmer and Alexandra Meda, will each receive a $1,000 honorarium.

The Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts and Four Larks present their World Premiere production of FRANKENSTEIN, created by Four Larks after Mary Shelley's classic novel, from Wednesday, February 12 through Sunday, March 1, 2020, in The Wallis' Lovelace Studio Theater. This unusual Frankenstein, commissioned by The Wallis, is an exuberant amalgamation of dynamic physical theatre, live music and experiential design that brings the tale to life in a modern take that spotlights the dangers of unregulated technology. The Washington Stage Guild continues its season of great writers with the Washington premiere of Bloomsday by Steven Dietz. This delicate, time-bending romance is set in James Joyce's Dublin on June 16th, the date on which Joyce's Ulysses is set. Robert returns to that city 35 years after meeting Caithleen on a walking tour of Joyce's Dublin. He and Cait meet again and revisit their youthful relationship, amid the echoes of Joyce's masterwork, and the missed connections of that earlier time in their lives. Helen Hayes Award winning Kasi Campbell will direct. A post-show discussion will follow the Sunday matinee on February 2nd, James Joyce's birthday.

Classic Stage Company has cancelled the first two preview performances of Kate Hamill's reimagining of Dracula, directed by Sarna Lapine, due to an issue with heat in the theater that has delayed technical rehearsals this week. The production will now run January 16 a?" March 8.
