CFCArts Announces New Vice Presidents Terrance Hunter, Vicki Landon, and Justin Muchoney

Central Florida Community Arts today announced the names of three leaders in newly created positions. Terrance Hunter will serve as the vice president of operations & education, Vicki Landon will step in as the vice president of development & community affairs, and Justin Muchoney will lead the artistic vision as the vice president of creative & production.

The Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra Names Melody Lynch as New President

The Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra Board of Directors has elected Melody Lynch as its new President. Lynch, a Shareholder at Lowndes, Drosdick, Doster, Kantor and Reed, P.A., succeeds Dr. Mary Palmer in the role. Her two-year term begins July 1, 2021.

Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra To Offer Free Concert To Central Florida Teachers

The Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra announces that it has partnered with local school districts to offer a free concert to local performing and visual arts teachers. Teachers from Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Volusia, and Lake County Public Schools are invited to join this celebratory evening. The Heart of the Arts: Celebrating ARTS Teachers will be held on Tuesday, March 23 at the Dr. Phillips Center Frontyard Festival.

Orlando Shakes Reaches Students Across The State

Orlando Shakes in partnership with UCF continually looks for new and effective ways of breaking down barriers to offer accessible and inclusive programming for all. Over the past two years, the company has experimented with live stream technology by broadcasting Children's Series productions. The Children's Series productions at Orlando Shakes aim to give students, particularly those in marginally served schools and communities, exposure to high quality, professional productions; broadcasting live performances to schools across the state is another step toward bringing arts engagement to every classroom.
