American Repertory Ballet will be bringing 2 different mixed-bill productions to Union County Performing Arts Center's Hamilton Stage in Rahway, NJ and to The Theatre at Raritan Valley Community College in Branchburg, NJ over the course of two weekends in October. The company will present American Artist Showcase, featuring works by Gerald Arpino, Patrick Corbin, and ARB Resident Choreographer Mary Barton, at Hamilton Stage October 18-19. On October 26 at 8:00pm, Premieres will take the stage at The Theatre at Raritan Valley Community College, showcasing brand new works by Kirk Peterson and Mary Barton, and more.

American Repertory Ballet will be kicking off its monthly On Pointe Enrichment Series with their annual 'Meet the Company' event today, September 13, 2013 at 12:00pm, noon, at Princeton Ballet School - 301 North Harrison Street (above McCaffrey's supermarket in the Princeton Shopping Center). American Repertory Ballet, New Jersey's preeminent ballet company, voted NJ's Favorite Dance Company in the Jersey Arts People's Choice awards, is delighted to announce its 2013-2014 Season of performances around the state. Season highlights include three major productions: the premiere of Artistic Director Douglas Martin's Romeo and Juliet at State Theatre in New Brunswick, with live music played by the Rutgers Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Kynan Johns; ARB's 50th Annual Nutcracker Season, which will span five weekends at theaters across NJ and include a “Celebrate the Legacy” reception; and Night of Fire, a program featuring the premiere of Martin's Firebird and the company premiere of Kirk Peterson's Afternoon of a Faun, at McCarter Theatre in Princeton. The 2013-2014 season will also include brand new works by American choreographers Mary Barton, Trinette Singleton, and Kirk Peterson and revivals of works by Ann Marie DeAngelo, Patrick Corbin, and the late Gerald Arpino, Joffrey Ballet co-founder and choreographer.

For the past 32 years, Princeton Ballet School, the official school of American Repertory Ballet, has welcomed ballet students from across the United States and around the world to its Summer Intensive program. Princeton Ballet School's Summer Intensive is one of the oldest and most selective in the country. The 95 dancers, who auditioned this past winter, come from across the United States and from Canada, China, Italy, Japan, Norway, Spain, and South Africa. The students live in dorms on Princeton University's campus and train daily at the Princeton Ballet School's location in the Princeton Shopping Center.

On Friday, May 31, 2013 at 5:15pm, American Repertory Ballet will host a free lecture, 'Dancer Nutrition', as part of its On Pointe Enrichment Series. Artists of American Repertory Ballet and Princeton Ballet School will discuss how dancers and non-dancers alike should eat for peak daily performance.

Princeton Ballet School, the official school of American Repertory Ballet, will present the full-length classical ballet Swan Lake on May 18, 2013 at the Patriots Theater at the War Memorial in Trenton, NJ. Performances will be at 2:00pm and 7:00pm.

Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival, a National Historic Landmark, home to America's longest-running dance festival, and recipient of the National Medal of Arts, will present American Repertory Ballet as part of its Festival 2013 Inside/Out performance series on August 16 at 6:15pm on the open-air Henry J. Leir Stage, described by The New Yorker as "a breathtaking outdoor stage overlooking the lush Berkshire hills." American Repertory Ballet will perform Patrick Corbin's Follia and Resident Choreographer Mary Barton's Straight Up with a Twist.

Tonight, March 7, 2013 at 7:30pm, ARB Artistic Director Douglas Martin will discuss his new Romeo and Juliet and Rite of Spring ballets, both of which ARB will unveil this spring. Also at this event, the virtuosic dancers of ARB will perform excerpts of both these ballets, giving audiences exclusive previews of these world premieres.

American Repertory Ballet will return to Raritan Valley Community College on March 23 at 8:00pm to present In Full Bloom, an evening of world premieres, Stravinsky, Vivaldi, and more. The program will feature Artistic Director Douglas Martin's brand new Rite of Spring, set to Stravinsky's score, ARB Resident Choreographer Mary Barton's vibrant Five Men and a Concerto, and a new athletic and contemporary work by Patrick Corbin.

On February 22, American Repertory Ballet will present an inside look at its upcoming spring performance season.This On PointeEnrichment Series event, "Spring Repertory Preview", will be held at 5:15pm in the Company's rehearsal studios at Princeton Ballet School (301 North Harrison Street, above McCaffrey's Supermarket). ARB launched its On Pointe series in 2010 to help make ballet more accessible to the community by offering free lecture demonstrations, guest lectures, intimate company performance previews, and panel discussions.
